The Product Management team drives Asana’s product strategy and execution, translating customer needs and opportunities into a compelling roadmap and working cross-functionally to deliver impactful solutions for team productivity and collaboration. We’re helping to define the Work Management category and inventing new ways for teams to work more efficiently together and see the larger purpose behind their work. Our team works directly with Engineering, Design, Experience Research, and Data Science, as well as with Sales, Support, and Marketing to ship great products. You’ll take part in every type of product work here — from strategy to product to process improvements — conceptualizing, launching, and iterating on Asana itself for millions of teams around the world.

We are looking for an experienced product manager to help deeply solve our customers’ most business critical workflows. You’ll set the strategy for prioritizing use cases and building cohesive experiences across product surface areas. You’ll help new customers discover and successfully set up relevant workflows in Asana—ultimately driving repeat visitation and retention. Here are some opportunity areas you might dive into:

  • Which customers and use cases should we prioritize building for next?
  • How might we develop a playbook for launching more use cases at scale?
  • How might we thread a consistent narrative throughout top-of-funnel (ads, asana.com website, emails) and in product?
  • How might we balance between inspirational defaults and flexible setup to meet a customer’s unique workflow needs?
  • How might we tailor experiences to resonate with a wide variety of customers, so they feel like Asana was made just for them?

What you'll achieve

  • Define and deliver a compelling roadmap to launch strategic use cases, driving repeat visitation and retention among key customers.
  • Drive a strategy to balance multiple priorities and use cases across customers and Asana teams.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Business partners to co-create a cohesive experience and execute on the roadmap.
  • Learn alongside Data Science and User Research to deeply understand customer use cases and needs.
  • Communicate strategy and learnings across Asana to influence roadmaps of partner teams.
  • Mentor team members and share best practices.

About you

  • 4+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Technical Product Manager, or equivalent, with at least 1-2 years experience on B2B SaaS.
  • You are strategic,  hypothesis-driven, and have strong product intuition. You inspire the company by creating bold ideas and delivering them across a set of customer problems.
  • You get stuff done. You’re able to juggle between multiple experiments and larger workstreams. You thoughtfully break down projects to MVPs to maximize customer value with the least amount of work.
  • You center on the customer and have deep empathy. You elicit non-obvious customer needs, and synthesize research to gain a deep understanding and narrow definition of a problem. You ground technical platform work in the problem that the team is solving.
  • You have strong communication and collaboration. You co-create with teammates to deliver high-quality results. You speak and write with clarity for your teammates and for execs. You help to grow teams by mentoring others, creating great team morale, and sharing best practices.
  • You have a growth mindset. You lead with curiosity and are open to feedback.
  • You have experience with A/B testing and product-led-growth principles.
  • You have domain expertise with workflows, templates, intake requests, automations, or integrations.

What we’ll offer

Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to achieving our mission. We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $202,000 - $258,000.
