About the Team

Welcome to our Release Experience team, we are responsible for bringing Miro’s features in the hands of our customers. We take care that merged code gets to customers fast and reliably. Our team aspires to create a smooth release experience for all Miro developers. Releasing must be fast, frequent, predictable, and with a minimized blast radius on customers. When things go wrong, we make sure we can mitigate issues fast with roll-backs, hotfixes, etc. We deal with our CI/CD. Our team is part of the Developer Experience department at Miro. Our sister teams take care of the journey from coding on your local machine up until merging to master.

About the Role

We already have the engineers (and engineering manager), but now we need the product manager to help us out. As PM, you will ensure that we are working on the most impactful opportunities. By evaluating the metrics, talking to our colleague developers, stakeholders and expert engineers, etc. By having a broad view of all potential initiatives, you will facilitate the conversation around what is most impactful moving forward. You ensure we estimate impact up front, and reflect on created value afterwards.

What you’ll do

  • You have your hands at the levers that can speed up the entire Miro engineering organisation (>600 engineers). Each incremental improvement has a huge positive compounding effect on Miro reaching its product strategy goals.
  • You will be making very difficult trade-offs when deciding where to invest. Should we improve the UI of our release dashboard, or should we increase the deployment frequency? Should we add more quality gates up front, or invest in faster hotfix and rollback systems? Should we automate environment configuration, or should we make systems that catch environment drift? Should we reduce the amount of tests to decrease the time from merge to deploy, or should we add tests to reduce our failure rate?
  • You will base decisions on a mix of input from 1) metrics analysis (deployment frequency, reliability metrics, test metrics, incident metrics, etc) 2) developer interviews (both feature teams and infrastructure teams) 3) stakeholder priorities 4) consulting with legal and security teams, and of course there will be more.

What you’ll need

  • Experience creating products for developers. Either internal tools or products that have developers as users.
  • Experience with deployments, releases, CI/CD.
  • A motivation to get to the truth of things. What exactly will be really having the most impact on the organisation as a whole?
  • The personality that only considers the job done, when the value is captured by the organisation - not when the tool is built.
  • The ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bonus: Experience developing and releasing software first-handed.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with leveraging AI tools for UX and data analysis

What's in it for you

  • Competitive equity package
  • Lunch, snacks and drinks provided in the office
  • Wellbeing benefit and WFH equipment allowance
  • Annual learning and development allowance to grow your skills and career
  • Opportunity to work for a globally diverse team
