Our Programmatic Merchandising team uses ML and real time data processing to create dynamic, personalized, searchless mobile-first travel shopping experiences for our customers all over the world. 

We’re looking for an exceptional Senior Product Manager to lead our Programmatic Merchandising team. The ideal candidate is someone customer obsessed, with a strong bias for impact and a first principles approach to problem-solving. They will be responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and executing strategies that translate directly into material business impact. As a Product Manager you will work at the intersection of product development, data science, design, business strategy, and user experience. You will also gain a competitive understanding of the travel landscape to facilitate the creation and distribution of successful new features to our millions of customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage a product roadmap for a set of features from inception through implementation; collect requirements, establish key performance metrics, craft the user experience, and drive execution
  • Use data-driven insights to create Business cases, frame actionable hypotheses, and design experiments to deliver incremental impact
  • Understand and explain complex technical issues, discern impact, and communicate them to maximize clarity and drive resolution
  • Pare down an ideal feature to the minimum viable product: identify what's essential for us to know if this is a good idea, what's not, and how we can limit cost and risk
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and data scientists to define and prioritize product features and enhancements and ship them to millions of users around the world

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Deep bias for action; strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to inform product decisions/strategy.
  • A passion for creating exceptional customer experiences that drive business growth and customer loyalty, aligned with Hopper’s mission
  • Have experience with data analytics and A/B testing in a highly metrics driven environment
  • Have an innovative and detail-oriented approach to problem-solvingStrong creative skills - you can come up with, effectively communicate, and test experimental product features that go beyond iterative or obvious improvements to the product
  • Have experience connecting innovative solutions to real-world, user problems with actual business needs of a rapidly scaling organization
  • Have technical depth that allows them to communicate with, understand, and earn the respect of world-class engineers and data scientists
  • Have a strong focus on doing what is right for the customer and the company without ego

Preferred qualifications:

  • Thrived in a B2C product role and proven track record for driving business growth
  • A track record of being proactive and persuading colleagues by constructing a compelling narrative both in-person and in-writing
  • Past success analyzing data, drawing accurate conclusions, and adjusting strategy accordingly
  • Have a go-getter attitude, comfortable with learning whatever they need to move the team forward
  • 4+ years of experience as Product Manager or Founder.
