About the Role:
Matterport is looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the Product team responsible for our pricing and offerings strategy and roadmap. In this role, you will analyze the market and competitive landscape, understand customer needs, and design and implement pricing frameworks and offering models that drive growth for the business.
This role requires strategic thinking, analytical and operations expertise, and the ability to partner and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization. You will be responsible for driving initiatives that improve our existing pricing and offerings as well as design and launch new, innovative pricing strategies that create novel ways to monetize Matterport’s platform and services.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Management, this highly-visible position will play a critical role in helping Matterport increase revenue, expand our customer base and facilitate entry into new markets. You will get to think big-picture strategy as well as work tactically to implement and roll-out new offerings and capabilities.
Matterport is a remote workplace with headquarters in Sunnyvale, CA. This position can be based remotely in the United States #LI-Remote
What you will do:
- Design and implement pricing and offering strategies and frameworks that optimize and grow our SaaS, Services and HW product lines
- Own the roadmap and drive the implementation and roll-out of changes to existing pricing or introduction of new pricing, working closely with product and engineering as well as cross-functionally with sales, marketing, finance and operations to ensure alignment
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative pricing market research to understand willing-to-pay, value drivers and other factors needed to make data-informed pricing decisions
- Analyze financial results, customer usage, survey data and internal feedback to recommend improvements or new pricing solutions
- Establish pricing frameworks that optimize across multiple performance objectives including revenue growth, margin, subscriber acquisition, market share, platform adoption & lifetime value
- Support the sales team with large enterprise opportunities ensuring alignment with pricing strategy and commercial policies
- Maintain the master global price list and ensure pricing is correctly implemented across systems
- Build and maintain pricing analytics to track key performance metrics
Who you are:
- Minimum 6 years of product management or pricing experience
- Experience developing pricing and offering strategies and implementing them in business systems and operational processes
- Experience with SaaS and/or Enterprise software pricing models
- Experience running pricing research studies as well as modeling and forecasting revenues
- Familiar with pricing concepts, demand elasticity, pricing waterfalls, pricing research methods
- Strong analytical skills, ability to use data and research methods to inform decision making
- Comfortable communicating to technical and non-technical audiences of varying roles and levels, including at the executive level
- Excellent interpersonal skills and able to partner and work cross-functionally
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
