About the role

The SumUp Point of Sale is one of our fastest growing product lines at SumUp. We aspire to help small merchants thrive with our new flagship Point of Sale product, live in 13 markets today and expanding to many more very soon.

As a Senior Product Manager in the POS Tribe, this role will be pivotal in building mission critical features across the product, for example, Product Catalog & Inventory Management, Till & Staff Management and more.

You will help create and drive the strategy, vision and roadmap, with a high degree of ownership over critical features and the customer experience. We are looking for someone customer-obsessed and technology savvy - with a passion for consumer devices and the payment industry.

What you’ll be doing in this job

  • Lead discovery of key problem spaces to gain in-depth insights for effective problem-solving.
  • Navigate functional and technical complexities, to slice large features into lean, iterative deliverables, while ensuring faster time-to-market and shorter feedback loops.
  • Demonstrates accountability & ownership over product launch and quality.
  • Work with Data Analysts to measure and share back the impact of launched features and initiatives.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to advise on product positioning and feature communication plans.
  • Build a continuous feedback loop with Customer Support & Sales to ensure front-line problems are being heard, prioritized and resolved.
  • Liaise with stakeholders within and outside of the tribe to ensure cross-squad and inter-tribe alignment and communication.

You’ll be great for this role if you have:

  • Proficiency in both operational and strategic Product Management.
  • Ability to blend business acumen with technical expertise to build and deliver best-in-class solutions for our customers.
  • Expertise working with and analyzing data to drive business outcomes.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to champion initiatives in front of different audiences (technical or non-technical, executive management, external partners).
  • Experience with managing technical and business dependencies, as well as the stakeholders associated with them.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
