We’re hiring a new Senior Product Manager for Playlist Experience to help define the future of the experience on Spotify and the workflows around its creation. We want you to improve Spotify’s user experience and inspire users to create great listening experiences in collaboration with Spotify and others.
In 2021 we launched Enhance allowing users to collaborate with Spotify on the creation of playlists. Next, we want to focus on ways to create great listening experiences that get more personal over time. Over time, we believe users will be able to explore their interests and taste using a new kind of interactive, personal playback and that helps them form new habits and make new connections. 

What you’ll do

  • Own the Playlist Experience and workflow around the creation of lists.
  • Build a product strategy for the Playlist experience, align metrics with the broader product area and inspire the team.
  • Work with a cross-functional team, to drive a product discovery for improvements to the Playlist Experience
  • Work with engineering to ensure the experience is scalable, usable and useful for a range of strategies.
  • Lead multiple projects across the entire product lifecycle.
  • Triangulate data and insights to develop a robust product strategy and inform decision making.
  • Demonstrate your expertise and product craft to successfully ship products that move our topline metrics.
  • Manage cross-functional relationships to keep stakeholders informed, receive input, and influence their thinking.
  • Transform your squad into a robust team by building a culture centred around achieving impact, mutual accountability, user empathy, inclusivity and work-life balance.
  • Build a network across the company to understand the wide range of new strategies and initiatives being planned, and understand how your area can drive positive results for users and the company.

Who you are

  • User focussed. Spotify is going through many changes, and we place a lot of demands on key surfaces such as the Playlist. You’ll need to ensure that we remain focused on users and that our work really does make a difference for them.
  • You are an excellent communicator and storyteller, presenting concepts and ideas to partners at all levels, in different shapes depending on the context
  • You’re good with data and analysis. Familiarity with different methods of analysis, and comfortable working with data and /or insights to inform decision making.
  • You think about the bigger picture. Ability to think about not only how product decisions immediately impact our users, but how the experiences we create, drive towards user understanding and a continuously advancing world powered by Machine Learning
  • You have a growth mindset.
  • You are driven to get stuff done, but with a collaborative approach. You understand that we don’t win unless the team wins, and you leave ego out of it.
  • You have a proven track record of taking new products to marketYou are able to distil complex information into easy-to-understand concepts and understand how to lead a team through ambiguityExperienced at creating product visions and strategies. Able to create, refine and communicate a clear, ambitious and compelling strategy for one of Spotify’s most well used surfaces.
  • You’re a clear thinker, comfortable with concepts and models as well designs and data. We're always looking to improve our UI, but we also want to sort out ambiguity, drive improvements in the way Spotify users can build their collection and retrieve great audio at the right moment.

Where you’ll be

  • We are a distributed workforce enabling our band members to find a work mode that is best for them!
  • Where in the world? For this role, it can be within the EMEA region in which we have a work location and is within working hours. 
  • Working hours? We operate within the Central European and GMT time zones for collaboration and ask that all be located that time zone.
