TL;DR

We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to join the Trainual team and own a core part of our product. As a Product Manager at Trainual, you will be the voice of the customer and surface insights that will guide our product. You'll be responsible for crafting a compelling product line strategy to help guide the future of our product.

So, who are you? You have a track record for working with software companies to scale their product and provide immense value to their customers. Your deep understanding of how to build impactful products helps mitigate risk and drive product metrics for the business while pushing the boundaries of what is possible. The customer is always at the forefront of every decision you make and you’re obsessed with learning, speedy & ever-changing environments, and driving results to win as a team.

What you will own & improve:

  • End-to-End Product Management: You will own everything on your product initiatives from concept to go-to-market. You’ll demonstrate ownership of the full product life-cycle including strategy and definition, feature roadmap, and delivery.
  • Product Research: You will maintain a heavy focus on product research, looking at our market, competitive landscape, and customers to evaluate how we can drive business goals through new and existing product offerings. Your job is to mitigate risk for the business to ensure we are building the highest value offerings and setting aside those that do not. You know when to say “NO” to a product idea.
  • Results Driven: While we empower our product teams to find the right solutions to build, we also hold the teams accountable to results.  It is not just about delivering a new feature set. You are always striving for a results-driven approach and know how to work with others to achieve necessary goals. Based on your understanding of success you will know when to pivot or persevere on your product initiatives.
  • Organization & Operations: You will run typical scrum ceremonies, retrospectives, planning sessions, grooming, and jam sessions (that’s our fun name for collaborations that facilitate alignment with other team stakeholders before projects start). Your goal is to support the team and keep them on track to build something special.
  • Relationship Management: This job, as with the other roles on the product team,  is an individual contributor role. You will need to be able to influence your teammates, as well as colleagues, stakeholders, and key executives through sound logic and data. You have a data-driven approach to product and can always communicate how what you are doing will move the business forward.

What you already know:

  • 3+ Years of experience working within a Saas software Product Management role or similar.
  • Understanding of key Product Management philosophies and tools to help you research, evaluate, ideate, build, and deliver. You understand these terms and have experience using them: Design Thinking, Design Sprints, RICE, Usability Testing, Measures of Success, and Feature Adoption. You have a proven history of using these “Tools” and have applied them to your work.
  • Adept at building 12+ month roadmaps and ability to articulate business alignment towards that plan.
  • Comfortable with product analytics tools (ie. Heap, Fullstory, Split.io, Proudctboard, MIRO) is a plus.
  • Experience working with C-suite and senior executive teams to guide a compelling product strategy.
  • Experienced in gathering qualitative/quantitive insights to craft a compelling business case on where we should focus our content creation & consumption experiences.
  • You understand how to keep a pulse on your customers, market, and competitive landscape to stay ahead of evolving trends and threats to the business.
  • Proven ability to engage with engineers, designers, and company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationship.
  • You have an understanding of the latest AI trends and technologies and have shown the ability to apply these channels to solve real user problems.
About the Team

You’ll report to Taylor Sell, our VP of Product. You will work closely with a talented group of product, design, and engineering teams within a Product Squad.
