Senior Product Manager - Payouts

SumUp is a leading financial multiproduct technology company, operating across 30+ markets on three continents while still expanding globally.

SumUp started conquering the world of small merchants with mPOS card acceptance solutions in 2012. Today we offer a comprehensive product portfolio including online store & online payments, bank account, invoicing, gift cards, lending, and more. 

Currently we are looking for a Senior Product Manager for our Payouts squad.

The payout platform is a key part of our proprietary payments processing platform. The main requirements for its performance and also the main challenges for its team are speed, accuracy and consistency. It is responsible for processing global SumUp payouts for millions of customers to achieve fast, cost efficient, accurate and consistent incoming and outgoing payouts to various, but not limited to in-house developed settlement instruments. 

We are currently scaling it and planning many new exciting features and that’s why we are looking for a Product Manager to join our team.

What you’ll do

• Design and build our payouts platform that satisfies various business requirements and user needs; drive the testing, implementation, and post-production support
• Gather requirements and scope projects, facilitate discussions and drive resolution of issues
• Apply product delivery techniques and product development best practices to build the product right
• Work with data (user and process data, business & system KPIs) comfortably and make data-informed decisions
• Work efficiently with a team of developers, designers, quality engineers, product analysts, and operational experts and interface with stakeholders in the spirit of co-creation and mutual respect

You’ll be great for this role if

• You have 4+ years experience in product management.
• You’re familiar with the Fintech industry and have a solid understanding of the payments competitive landscape and recent trends.
• You have previous experience with payment processor integrations for terminal and/or online payments.
• You’re able to deliver multiple initiatives without compromising results.
• You appreciate incremental software development with a focus on value.
• You’re fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Any of the following would be considered a plus

• You have experience in payment authorization and clearing systems.
• You have an understanding of financial transaction standards (ISO8583/ ISO 20022).
• You’ve successfully completed an EMV certification.
