The opportunity

At Urban Sports Club our aim is to create a world where everyone enjoys doing sports, whether that is in the gym, studio, outside in the park/ beach or from the comfort of your own home. We are now getting ready to start a new growth phase after two years of pandemic and lock-downs, and are shifting our growth efforts towards members who don’t sign up directly (B2C), but instead sign up through their employer (B2B2C). We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our Product team and work closely together with our Member focused squads in the Urban Sports Club Member Tribe.

You will own our conversion flow and registration experience for all potential members (B2C, B2B2C), and will be responsible for setting goals, identifying opportunities and crafting a roadmap of experiments that accelerate the growth of our product.

This role is crucial to Urban Sports Club’s next stage, and a key component in ensuring the growth potential of Urban Sports Club is realised.

Your responsibilities

  • Understand the value our members get from our product and learn how to effectively communicate this to all potential members 
  • Bring a deep understanding of growth & optimization best practises to your team. Lead the ideation and execution of product changes that drive growth
  • Support our attribution process with necessary implementation to ensure accuracy and close data gaps. Consider how we can better track and service users from new acquisition channels 
  • Look beyond the numbers and work with user experience researchers to identify new opportunities (especially for B2B2C) in order to decrease friction in our conversion flow 
  • Work closely with the core product teams to ensure that Growth experiments are aligned with the broader product goals and roadmap activities.
  • Set OKRs for your dev team, build an experiment-driven roadmap, prioritise initiatives and align these with other product teams, key stakeholders and the rest of the company.
  • Be an advocate for experiment driven development within the product development department and an ambassador in the company. 

What you need to succeed 

  • You have at least 3-5 years of experience working as a Product Manager, ideally in the field of consumer subscription platforms or two sided marketplaces.
  • You are experienced in conversion optimization, know how to create frictionless user flows, and have a passionate commitment to shaping the growth trajectory of products.
  • You have a strong analytical mindset, a genuine curiosity to experiment and understand how to use user research to test hypotheses and identify what motivates or hinders our users from signing up. 
  • You are an expert at using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Optimize, Google Firebase or Hotjar, utilising them day-in and day-out to track your progress towards your goals.
  • You break down problems into easy-to-understand chunks, and can bridge the gap between business and technology.
  • You want to have an impact by effectively managing conflicts and priorities and are an effective sparring partner to your engineering and UX counterparts.
  • A fun attitude. You engage, inspire and motivate the people you work with. We like to have fun while we work on this important strategic domain for the whole group.
  • Experience with search engine optimization is a plus
  • Technical background to structure, plan and spec out complex technical solutions involving both frontend and backend is a plus
  • You speak English fluently, German is a plus
