We build powerful, scalable, and elegant software that sets a new standard for the tools upon which our first responders rely. Our users are diverse, and we are therefore committed to embracing diversity of thought and experience within our team.

Mark43 is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Product Manager to lead our third-party interface and partner ecosystem products.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in defining and delivering innovative solutions for public safety agencies. As an experienced Product Manager, you will drive ideas from inception to launch, ensuring they address complex challenges unique to the industry. Our cloud-native 3rd party interface platform is critical to our open platform ecosystem, and we need someone who can combine strategic thinking with a stakeholder-centered approach to deliver seamless, delightful experiences. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging research and insights to transform intricate problems into intuitive, effective solutions.

What You’ll Do

If you were part of our product team, here are some things you may have done last week:

  • Conducted comprehensive market research to inform and define the product strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market trends.
  • Facilitated cross functional alignment across engineering, design, marketing, sales, and service on product strategy and roadmap.
  • Gathered requirements, established success metrics, and worked with engineering, design teams, and other relevant stakeholders to define and build key features.
  • Clearly communicated problem statements, led ideation sessions, and monitored metrics to make data-driven decisions.
  • Contributed to and revised the product backlog based on stakeholder and market insights, ensuring solutions met expectations.
  • Worked with product marketing to create GTM enablement content, including product catalogs, FAQs, sales guidance, pricing, positioning, and other marketing campaign materials.
  • Collaborated with sales and service teams on ongoing deals by understanding customer needs, guiding them on product capabilities and limitations, identifying product gaps, and incorporating them into the roadmap.

What You’ll Need

We are looking for a candidate with 7 – 10 years of experience as a Product Manager or product leader, preferably with a background in enterprise SaaS. You should have a proven track record of developing solutions that seamlessly integrate with third-party systems, and experience building third-party integrator ecosystem products is a bonus. To excel in this role, you will need strong business, design, and technical acumen, enabling you to collaborate effectively with sales team members, designers, and engineers. Your storytelling skills will be essential for generating enthusiasm among both internal teams and external stakeholders for the products you develop. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are crucial, as you will need to articulate and represent the diverse points of view of a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring alignment across the board.

People who thrive on our team also tend to share the following characteristics:

  • Humble, open, and curious. You value ideas and opinions, no matter who they come from, and you’re excited about listening and learning being a big part of your job. You are easily able to empathize with users who are different from you.
  • Attentive, active listeners. You’re interested in what others have to say and illustrate your interest with your actions.
  • Enthusiastic collaborators. You understand that the best outcomes are achieved through shared ownership and seek to spread knowledge and expand participation rather than restrict it.
  • Comfortable with uncertainty. You know that sometimes problems and situations can’t be simplified or fully understood and are at ease working within this type of haziness, especially when working towards a deadline.
  • Passionate about personal growth. You view mistakes as opportunities for learning, and want to grow as a colleague and person. You take ownership over your own work and commit to every part of a task, from the big picture to small details.

We feel passionate about equal pay for equal work, and transparency in compensation is one vehicle to achieve that. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a target base annual salary range of $130,000-$185,000, plus bonus opportunity, company stock options, and a full benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and a 401k. Please note that the higher end of this range will be reserved for candidates with appropriate experience who reside in high cost of labor markets. lease note that the higher end of this range will be reserved for candidates with appropriate experience who reside in high cost of labor markets.
