Senior Product Manager- Interactive Fiction
The Senior Product Manager is a part of the product management organization. You are integral to our game design, analytics, development, and execution. You are responsible for ensuring many aspects of the game achieve business targets.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Product Strategy
- Partner closely with the Lead Product Manager to create a clear product roadmap of prioritized features and initiatives that work toward the overall product vision
- Monitor game performance and drive KPIs and targets for products and features
- Implement effective review cycles of the state of our games that carefully consider internal and external feedback as well as key product metrics to continually improve the product
- Stay on top of the competitive landscape and maintain a deep understanding of our games
Product Execution
- Partner with production teams to define and deliver features and functionality that support the overall strategic vision of the product
- Collaborate with design teams to balance & tune virtual economies, conceptualize and implement engaging features, mechanics, systems, and modalities of play that accomplish engagement and retention goals
- Gather requirements, write specifications, and work across design, UX, art, and engineering to launch features and content, and analyze the impact of those releases
- Work closely with marketing and community to ensure they are equipped with the latest information and messaging to successfully take our products to market and to manage a live service
Player Insight
- Define and implement metrics and tracking tools for the product and use the data to inform game design and drive decisions for optimization and future feature development
- Partner with analytics to establish experimentation road map, using A/B testing to meet goals and create product and player insight. Translate outcomes into relevant recommendations
- Leverage live ops tools, analytics, A/B testing, and other tools to optimize player experience and drive business objectives
- Identify opportunities to maximize player experience and performance
Stakeholder Management
- Develop successful relationships across the studio and with external partners to deliver meaningful business outcomes
- Lead by example, creating a strong sense of purpose and community, and promoting a culture of excellence
Skills and Abilities
- Strong business & creative capabilities. You can connect detailed player behavior and financial outcomes
- Strong analytical skills. You are able to work with data to quickly gain insights, build concise reports, and ultimately communicate those insights to a variety of audiences.
- Comfort working in an early launch space. You should be excited to work with ambiguous and fast-changing circumstances as your understanding of the space evolves alongside your team.
- Ability to perform research analytics at industry, genre, and game level to shape products
- Able to manage multiple, and competing tasks and be self-directed in a quickly evolving environment and meet deadlines with limited direction
- Excellent attention to detail and strong desire to iterate and improve on processes
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and communications skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication. Comfortable interacting and presenting to all levels of the company, especially key stakeholders, and publishers
- Self-motivated team player able to work in a team environment with maturity and leadership
Education and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in product management, games systems design, or data analytics in games as a service (mobile, PC, or console)
- Strong experience in quantitative analysis, including the ability to model game parameters using Excel, SQL, and business intelligence tools such as Tableau
- Experience with A/B and multivariate testing
- Understanding and experience with a wide range of business models including, but not limited to, free-to-play and subscriptions business models
- Bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, finance, economics or related field
- MBA a plus
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Our core hours are 10:00am to 6:00pm CST, which means you should be available for meetings etc. during this time frame.

The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $50,000-$250,000 USD
