Want to be part of a team working on building a world-class audio experience?The Core Experience team (we call it a tribe!) works at the heart of the Spotify user experience, and we’re part of the Discovery and Distribution Product Area. We’re a community of product managers, designers, engineers, researchers and data scientists working on a strategically important priority for the organisation: building a world-class user experience on the Spotify mobile apps focused on Discovery and connecting creators with listeners. We’re looking for an experienced Platform Product Manager to lead an agile product team focused on internal customers. You’ll craft vision and strategy, identify tactics and help craft solutions, prioritize and measure and validate the success of your work. Your work will be used by and impact the lives of millions of people around the world. You’ll partner with a cross-disciplinary set of folks across the globe, working in a fast-paced environment, and hopefully have a lot of fun along the way.
What you’ll do
- Identifying new opportunities to evolve the platform
- Building a platform that scales for many clients (ubiquity strategy)
- Ensure the platform is built on modern language and optimised
- Develop a clear strategy based on internal customer needs to provide a platform that’s easier to use
- Maintaining and scaling the Playlist Platform for the large internal customer base and supporting the playlists of millions of users
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, researchers and data scientists to identify problems, opportunities and solutions that will support the needs of our users and impact our goals/metrics
- Own and prioritise a long term product roadmap for your area based on a healthy balance of innovation, reducing technical debt and maintenance and support
- Triangulate data and insights to develop a robust product strategy and inform decision making
- Utilize a/b testing and other methodologies to validate the success of your chosen approach
- Work with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders to receive input, get feedback, and keep them informed
Who you are
- You have experience contributing, debating and creating strategies
- You have strong writing and debating skills to take part in strategic discussions
- You have a good understanding of how to define and build APIs which can be utalised by internal customers of a platform
- You have the ability to understand tech architecture and systems and to know when a solution should be platformised or not (cost/ opportunity exercise)
- You have the ability to translate technical needs into simple understandable requirements and be a translators between tech and design/product and know when to push back
- You have experience working with agile development teams building world class consumer products
- You have experience working with data and insights to understand and measure your work
- You are an excellent communicator, comfortable working with multiple stakeholders
- You have a growth mindset
- You are driven to get stuff done, but with a collaborative approach.
- You understand that we don’t win unless the team wins, and you leave ego out of it.

- Where in the world? For this role, it can be within the EMEA region in which we have a work location and is within working hours.
- Working hours? We operate within the Central European and GMT time zones for collaboration and ask that all be located that time zone.
