About the Team
The Opendoor product team is seeking an experienced Product Manager to help define and build our financial platform.
Opendoor’s ability to give its customers a simple, certain experience depends heavily on Finance’s ability to execute its operations accurately, efficiently, and safely at scale while rapidly innovating on its core financing capabilities. The finance platform systematizes the capabilities needed to run our finance operations and integrates them into our end-to-end business operations.
Role Responsibilities:
- Define the financial platform product roadmap, set metrics that inform the success of our efforts, and drive cross-functional efforts to achieve success
- Invent new capabilities and processes that allow Opendoor to leverage capital to deliver the simplest and most trusted experience for our customers
- Build world-class capabilities that automate routine tasks and provides Opendoor operators an efficient computer-aided experience for tasks requiring human judgment
- Identify and understand from the right set of quantitative and qualitative metrics the opportunities Opendoor should be focussing on to make the maximum impact
- Partner with engineering, capital markets, accounting to collaborate and eventually ship impact
- Lead efforts in creating artifacts, memos which will help the cross functional team arrive at a shared vision and also act as modes of communication about the plans of the financial platform product team across the organization.
Skills Needed:
- 5 - 8 years of product management experience
- Strong analytical skills, experience with setting up A/B tests
- Exceptional prioritization and project management skills
- Excellent communication skills: Written, verbal, and visual
- Demonstrated capabilities executing end-to-end quantitative and qualitative customer research and effectively identifying and interpreting key findings
- Demonstrated ability to work closely and effectively with data science, engineering, user research and different business functions
- Self-starter and ability to build programs from scratch
- Knack for balancing multiple projects at the same time
- Self-driven and motivated to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Bonus points if:
- 1 year of experience in building operational capabilities
- Previous experience in analytics/engineering
For CO Residents Only, and in accordance with C.R.S. Sec. 8-5-101 et seq., the estimated base salary range for this role is $117,000 - $171,000 per year. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position in question based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
