About the role

We are looking for a Product Manager to drive innovation and technical enablement projects that empower DataCamp’s learning experience at scale. You’ll partner closely with Engineering, Curriculum, and Design to identify opportunities at the intersection of pedagogy and technology, bringing forward ambitious ideas and turning them into high-impact solutions.

As Product Manager, you will be responsible for shaping the roadmap of a cross-functional team focused on highly complex, technically challenging initiatives. These include building the platforms, tools, and infrastructure that enable new kinds of content, richer interactivity, and cutting-edge learner experiences. Your role is to bring clarity and focus, balancing experimentation with execution, and ensuring that our innovation efforts translate into real learner and business value.

You will also play a key role in ensuring technical initiatives are aligned with curriculum goals, managing complexity with a pragmatic approach, and maintaining a strong understanding of how underlying systems work to make informed trade-offs.

About you

At DataCamp, we value action, ownership, transparency, and a deep focus on learners. You’re someone who:

  • Has a strong technical background.
  • Is passionate about data education and wants to shape how the next generation of data scientists and data engineers learn.
  • Stays current with the latest trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments.
  • Communicates clearly and can make complex ideas easy to understand.
  • Takes ownership and brings structure to ambiguity.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap
  • Partner with Engineering and Curriculum to identify impactful opportunities, trade-offs, and delivery plans
  • Translate complex ideas into clear priorities and product requirements
  • Balance innovation, user needs, and business goals against technical feasibility
  • Set goals and success metrics to guide and measure outcomes
  • Foster a culture of experimentation and data-informed decisions
  • Ensure strong communication and alignment with stakeholders
  • Explore and apply emerging technologies, especially AI, in concrete, learner-focused ways

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in product management with strong autonomy, including 3+ years of consumer products
  • Strong technical foundation with the ability to understand system architecture, APIs, and data flows, and to engage in trade-off discussions with engineers
  • Track record delivering high-quality products with meaningful business impact
  • Pragmatic, value-oriented mindset with the ability to balance trade-offs and make sound decisions
  • Analytical problem-solver who uses data to prioritize and measure impact
  • Ability to align teams and stakeholders around a shared vision and roadmap
  • Familiarity with data science, AI, or edtech is a plus
