ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Product Manager, Data, you will be a pivotal leader at the intersection of Data and other departments. Your core mission will be to build and scale internal data platforms and tools that drive informed decision-making and product evolution across Current.

You will specifically own the internal data science and analytics tooling roadmap, focusing on increasing adoption and usage across various cross-functional teams. This role involves driving the strategic development of a scalable enterprise data warehouse and analytics framework to ensure efficient and trustworthy access to data throughout the organization. You will collaborate closely with data analysts, data scientists, analytics engineers, finance leaders, product managers, and other business stakeholders to deliver high-impact data products that enable smarter decisions and improve business outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive data product roadmap for internal data platforms, including the data warehouse, analytics tooling, reporting, and ML infrastructure.
  • Deliver innovative, scalable solutions by aligning complex data systems with internal business needs.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, analytics engineers, and business stakeholders to define priorities for the enterprise data warehouse and data marts.
  • Manage cross-functional relationships, clearly communicating product vision and aligning goals.
  • Understand business needs across Product, Finance, Credit, Risk, and Marketing to deliver impactful data products.
  • Drive the creation of data tools, frameworks, and processes to generate actionable insights and deliver business value.

  • Drive adoption of analytics tooling and frameworks across the organization.
  • Prioritize data discovery to ensure critical datasets, reports, and models are built first.
  • Partner with Finance to build a trusted financial data mart for unit economics and forecasting.
  • Define strategy for ML initiatives; guide scoping, delivery, and monitoring of models for critical business use cases.
  • Set success metrics, track usage, and iterate on data products based on feedback and adoption.
  • Ensure data governance, quality, and performance in partnership with data infrastructure teams.

ABOUT YOU

  • Deeply data-driven and passionate about empowering teams through robust and scalable data infrastructure and tools.
  • Comfortable engaging in discussions about data products, data engineers, scientists, and analysts, as well as prioritizing product features in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Able to balance long-term strategy with quick wins, and can communicate complex ideas simply and clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Thrives in cross-functional settings and leads through influence.
  • Able to operate in a fast-paced environment and execute with a high level of autonomy and accountability.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Background in Data Science, Analytics, or Engineering.
  • 6+ years of product management experience, preferably with a focus on data platforms, internal tooling, analytics infrastructure, or ML tooling.
  • Intellectual curiosity, with the tenacity to probe deeply into problems, ask challenging questions, and convert business requirements into data-driven solutions.
  • Experience working closely with data engineers, analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data warehousing, BI tools, data science, and analytics workflows.
  • Proven experience building internal or data tools and driving adoption across large stakeholder groups.
  • Familiarity with modern data stack components, experimentation framework and an understanding of ML workflows.
  • Adept at the design and execution of experiments to facilitate the launch and scaling of products.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

This role has a base salary range of $170,000 - $204,000. Compensation is determined based on experience, skill level, and qualifications, which are assessed during the interview process. Current offers a competitive total rewards package which includes base salary, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
