Senior Product Manager - Customer Due Diligence

About the opportunity

We are seeking a passionate Senior Product Manager with a desire to develop innovative products and an innate interest in financial technology to join our Customer Identity group.

As a Senior Product Manager in the Customer Identity group, you will own the long-term product strategy for customer due diligence. You will be directly responsible for designing, delivering, and optimizing a secure, reliable, and globally scalable platform that ensures a frictionless yet compliant experience for N26 users across their entire lifecycle. Your work will directly impact millions of users and protect the bank's regulatory standing.

You will be working in a cross-functional team of product owners, product designers, engineers, and data scientists who develop and maintain the core compliance systems. You will also be partnering with various areas in the bank to offer advice and support on a large portfolio of new and existing product and market launches.

In this role, you will:

  • Define product strategy and lead refinement and execution of complex product roadmaps, actively managing dependencies, risks, and trade-offs to deliver measurable, high-impact results

  • Drive cross-functional initiatives, proactively identifying significant pain points, untapped opportunities, and innovative solutions that meet all concerned compliance requirements and fundamentally improve the customer lifecycle 

  • Be comfortable using leading edge technologies, such as AI, to drive better customer experience and operational efficiency

  • Be responsible for customer data quality across markets and comfortable in appropriate customer data collection to enable eligibility and upsell for auxiliary products / offerings

  • Work with other product managers, designers, and engineers across the organization to improve the day-to-day experience for ongoing as well as ad hoc customer due diligence products

  • Set the standard for how the identity platform integrates with new products, proactively ensuring that all solutions are robust, globally compliant, and scalable by design

What you need to be successful:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Product Management, preferably in risk and compliance products

  • Relevant experience in managing platform products is a must-have, and customer due diligence products across the customer lifecycle would be strongly preferred

  • Experience working in a FinTech, banking environment, InsureTech, payment processor, or similar regulated environment is a must-have

  • Strong experience in managing a diverse and cross-market group of stakeholders, including senior management, and possessing relevant negotiation skills is a must-have

  • Very hands-on with strong quantitative and analytical skills is a must-have (familiarity with SQL is a plus)

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong understanding of agile product development and delivery

  • Tech awareness is a must-have. Curiosity, and familiarity with new technologies and databases (nice to have).

  • A high level of integrity and work ethic with an intrinsic desire to deliver high-quality end products.
