We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the newly formed Connectivity team, a team at the heart of Spotify's Core Infrastructure area. You will be responsible for driving the product strategy for Spotify’s client connectivity layer, the foundational SDK that powers networking for all Spotify applications across iOS, Android, and C++ platforms. By unifying the product thinking across our entire traffic stack, from the client to the backend, you will empower hundreds of engineering teams to build features that are reliable, performant, and efficient for millions of users worldwide. This is a critical role that will shape end-to-end connectivity experience for our listeners.

What You'll Do

  • Drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the client connectivity at Spotify, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our engineering teams and support company bets.
  • Deeply understand the developer experience and the challenges engineers face with client-to-backend communication, and translate those insights into impactful platform improvements.
  • Define and analyze metrics that measure end-to-end connectivity performance, including reliability, latency, power consumption, and cost, using data to inform your product decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering manager and the engineers on the Connectivity team, as well as with key partners in backend traffic and other client-facing studios.
  • Serve as a "developer evangelist" for the connectivity platform, championing its benefits and guiding teams on best practices for building resilient and efficient features.
  • Stay current with industry trends in mobile networking, modern transport protocols, and real-time messaging to evolve our platform and unblock future innovation.

Who You Are

  • You have a strong technical background and are comfortable engaging in in-depth discussions about complex client-server systems and networking protocols.
  • You are passionate about building outstanding developer experiences and understand what a great internal platform looks like.
  • You have experience with client networking fundamentals (HTTP/2+, gRPC, TLS, caching, retries), Pub/Sub messaging systems, and strategies for improving performance in resource-constrained mobile environments.
  • You are an excellent communicator who can articulate a compelling vision and bring complex ideas to a wide range of audiences, from client engineers to backend infrastructure specialists and senior leadership.
  • Experience with developers as your primary users is a major plus!

Where You'll Be

  • This role is based in London (UK) or Stockholm (Sweden).
  • We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
