Our Communities team is focused on building world-class community products that connect and deepen social interactions across our network of developers, brands, influencers, and users. As the Senior Product Manager for Communities, you will own the strategy and execution of products that empower vibrant, inclusive, and engaging communities across the Roblox ecosystem. You will shape how millions of users globally connect, communicate, and collaborate – fostering deeper relationships, driving community growth, and inspiring meaningful interactions. 

This role reports directly to the Director of Product, Communities and is based in San Mateo, CA.

You will:

  • Develop and execute a compelling product strategy and roadmap that drives community engagement, growth, and retention while ensuring user trust and safety.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, and Data Science to deliver innovative features that enrich community experiences and foster deeper social connections.
  • Establish clear product goals, define metrics of success, and drive ongoing improvements through iterative product development cycles.
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional partners to ensure alignment, transparency, and informed decision-making.
  • Act as a thought leader and advocate internally, advocating for community perspectives, trends, and opportunities that influence company-wide strategies and roadmaps.

You have:

  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in consumer-facing social, community, or platform products.
  • Proven track record of developing and scaling safe and moderated community-centric products with significant user impact.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data-driven approaches to inform decisions, measure results, and iterate product strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities, comfortable influencing and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Passion and deep understanding of online communities, social platforms, community moderation practices, and emerging trends in digital social interaction.
  • Experience working within fast-paced, growth-oriented tech companies, particularly within gaming, entertainment, or social media platforms.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

Annual Salary Range
$224,510$275,030 USD

Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
