A little bit about us:

We are Belvo, an open finance API platform with the bold vision of democratizing access to financial services in Latin America. We enable any financial innovator to access and interpret financial data,as well as initiate payments from their end-users accounts. We’re turning the messy complexities of the Latin American financial ecosystem into a modern set of tools to access and interpret data and move money in a seamless and secure way.

We’re a highly-technical, passionate, and driven team. We are more than 90 people and our team currently represents 20 nationalities. We have offices in São Paulo and Mexico City – while a large portion of us work remotely.

We are tackling a very stimulating problem: connecting fintech innovators with legacy financial infrastructure. We strive to go beyond the limits of what is possible today and to do so in an elegant and developer-first way.

Since starting our adventure in May 2019, we have raised $71m from the leading VC investors globally.

About the team:

Our Payments product in Mexico has been growing at an incredible pace over the past few years. This product pillar’s mission is to enable companies in Mexico to access Variable Recurring Payments (VRP) through Account-to-Account (A2A) rails. This solves a critical need in the country, where thousands of businesses still struggle to collect recurring payments from their users in a scalable and automated way.

Our customers are any businesses that need to collect recurring payments — from loan repayments and subscriptions to utility bills. We provide them access to Direct Debit in Mexico (Domiciliación Bancaria) through an advanced API-based product that allows them to manage consents, orchestrate collections intelligently, and optimize their operations. The result: lower payment processing costs, fewer operational headaches, and smoother customer experiences.

This product demands not only strong technical expertise, but also an operations-first mindset to continuously improve scalability, reliability, and efficiency as we grow.

Your opportunity:

  • Lead one of the company’s most successful product lines — the Payments vertical in Mexico.

  • Manage and mentor the operations team, ensuring task efficiency through automation, engineering solutions, and data-driven process improvement.

  • Collaborate closely with providers and clients to identify and define new business opportunities.

  • Drive new product initiatives from ideation to production: build MVPs, validate hypotheses, and scale what works.

  • Think big — define a shared vision and strategy across the organization, aligning teams and building a roadmap that drives meaningful, long-term change across the payments ecosystem.

  • Partner internally with Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, Operations, Legal, and Finance to ensure cross-functional alignment and execution.

  • Use data deeply — analyze user behavior, market dynamics, and performance metrics to refine requirements and guide decisions.

  • Delight customers — build lasting relationships with clients and internal customer-facing teams. Understand their real pain points and help them succeed through proactive guidance and technical problem-solving.

  • Move fast and learn fast — break down big problems into actionable steps and leverage creativity to deliver value quickly.

  • Define and track OKRs to measure impact, identify growth levers, and communicate progress effectively.

  • Communicate clearly — keep all stakeholders informed about priorities, updates, and launches across different seniority levels.

This position may be for you if:

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience, ideally in fintech or payments.

  • Experience working in a product team within the Mexican payments ecosystem.

  • A strong technical foundation and passion for software development — you have a hacker mindset, can prototype or code MVPs yourself, and collaborate effectively with engineers.

  • A data-obsessed mindset — you’re comfortable extracting, analyzing, and visualizing data, and creating dashboards for your team.

  • Excellent product intuition — you can translate ambiguous problems into concrete solutions and identify real customer pain points.

  • Deep curiosity and drive to learn — you ask the extra question others miss, and that curiosity accelerates your learning.

  • Proven execution skills — you use data and insights to prioritize, ship, and measure impact.

  • A customer-first obsession — you can articulate their needs precisely and design delightful experiences that solve real problems.

  • Strong stakeholder management — you communicate with clarity, balance priorities, and support revenue teams and clients effectively.

  • Experience leading teams — you know how to empower people, foster ownership, and drive accountability.

  • Experience using AI-powered tools and frameworks to support software development, testing, or automation

Amazing if:

  • Previously worked as a Software Engineer or Data Scientist.

  • Have built your own startup or products from 0→1, demonstrating entrepreneurial mindset and bias for action.

  • You have leveraged AI to fundamentally change the way you work and / or build amazing projects

Our tech stack:

  • We’re building our platform using modern technologies, putting the focus on reliability and long-term maintainability

  • We primarily use Python on the backend. We use battle-tested technologies such as Django, and we are heavy users of Python’s asyncio for some parts of our stack

  • We use Javascript, Vue.js and Sass on the frontend. We are developing and leveraging our own design system and component library

  • We run our infrastructure on top of Amazon Web Services, leveraging managed services.

  • We tend to favor the use of managed services wherever possible, in order to focus on our business problems

  • We observe and monitor our services using Datadog

  • We follow Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery best practices
