Interested in driving Spotify’s long-term investment in Backstage? We are seeking an experienced senior product manager to join a fast paced and innovative team to do just that! This role will report to our head of product for Backstage and will lead our user experience efforts with the goal of improving the end-to-end experience of anyone using the platform.
Starting within Spotify, you will lead the overall Backstage experience, accountable for a multitude of high-visibility metrics such as R&D happiness and efficiency. Beyond Spotify, you will lead the information architecture, design system, and overall direction of the Backstage experience for hundreds of companies.
Your role will span making internal product decisions about the future of Backstage, prioritizing open source efforts, and influencing our broader strategic direction. Eventually, your role will likely expand to enable you to build a team of product managers.
What you'll do
- Craft a product vision and strategy that delivers an outstanding user experience
- Define metrics for the user experience of Backstage and establish clear success definitions. Leverage data to deliver results through iterative development
- Contribute to the overall direction for Backstage in partnership with the head of product and in collaboration with other product managers
- Partner with engineering, data science, marketing, design, and user research to cultivate a culture of ownership and impact
- Clearly communicate product plans, context and results to your teams and the rest of the organization.
- Work passionately to ensure your teams are focusing on the right things, balancing short versus long-term needs.
- Stay on top of Spotify’s strategic positioning and bring understanding and transparency your team
Who you are
- You have several years of experience implementing tools and technology that foster creativity and collaboration
- You are experienced with data-driven product development and are passionate about using feedback to improve products
- Experienced in defining and driving product strategy
- You have an ability to operate independently across multiple teams
- Ability to guide teams toward high-impact delivery of roadmaps in support of a broader vision & strategy
- You are an excellent communicator and storyteller, presenting concepts and ideas in different formats, depending on context and audience
