We are looking for a creative, passionate, and experienced Senior Product Manager to join the Marketplace team – Spotify’s division that is dedicated to helping artists thrive. Marketplace’s mission is to build tools that help artists and their teams build an audience, monetize their fans, and live off their work. A key focus of that mission is to empower the 900K+ monthly active artists using Spotify for Artists with self-serve marketing tools.
In this role, you will lead a cross-functional team from Design, Engineering, and Product Insights to define the roadmap for our self-serve marketing platform in Spotify for Artists. You will also collaborate with Sales, Business, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Legal. You’ll manage the roadmap across the marketing platform lifecycle - from accessing our tools, selecting goals, to creating and managing a campaign - that enables artist teams to reach fans on Spotify. In doing so, you will be on the front lines of bringing Spotify’s two-sided marketplace vision to life.
What you'll do
- Build a roadmap for scaling our self-serve marketing platform in Spotify for Artists to 100% of artist teams, then driving activation & adoption of our native marketing tools across those customers.
- Build and iterate campaign management features, such as pre-campaign insights, booking flows & management capabilities that help artist teams create native Spotify marketing campaigns - with the goal of growing adoption & activation as we introduce new marketing formats.
- Prioritize new features based on customer needs, business insights & impact, and technical platform scalability.
- Partner closely with our business and sales teams to identify opportunities for growth, metrics to watch, and sync the marketing platform product roadmap to our business plan.
- Collaborate closely with other Product Managers working on new marketing formats & audience targeting options to make them accessible to all artists via the self-serve platform
- Partner with Product Marketing to launch new features and iterate on existing products
- Ensure your team has a healthy balance of innovation, reducing technical debt and providing maintenance and support
Who you are
- You have 4+ years of experience working as a product manager in cross functional teams that have shipped products at multi-million user scale
- You ideally have worked on a B2B product in the marketing technology space
- You have experience collaborating with a wide range of non-product partners in a matrixed organization, and understand how to influence and inspire teams
- You enjoy partnering with business, sales and operational teams to grow a business, and thrive on finding ways for the product roadmap to complement operations and sales to serve customer needs
- You’re a compelling storyteller who can communicate in succinct and inspiring ways to a variety of audience types
- You’re passionate about the opportunity to better serve artists & their teams
- You have a team-first approach and have developed techniques to ensure your teams are happy, motivated and productive
- You are comfortable working with distributed teams across multiple offices and timezones
Where you'll be
- We are a distributed workforce enabling our band members to find a work mode best for them!
- Where in the world? For this role, it can be within the Americas region in which we have a work location
- Prefer an office to work from home instead? Not a problem! We have plenty of options for your working preferences. Find more information about our Work From Anywhere options here
- Working hours? We operate within the Eastern Standard time zone for collaboration
