We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to work fluidly and collaboratively with the rest of the organization through all aspects of the design process. The role demands great execution, an obsession with quality, and creative problem solving for users and business goals. As an early member of our internal creative team, you will have a significant impact on Upgrade's products, brand and visual identity. 
You can take the lead and are highly collaborative. You are a self-motivated, detail-oriented craftsman, able to work efficiently and effectively with other designers, developers, product managers and marketers. You can concept, prototype, design, and present solutions that solve user and business problems, delivering measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Work cross-functionally with engineering and other stakeholders to arrive at the best possible designs
  • Create flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals for your features.
  • Work closely with Engineering to ensure a high-quality implementation.
  • Use data analytics, user testing, and research to inform and validate design decisions and focus on constant improvement
  • Incorporate UI/UX best practices in website design and layout, and adapt designs for mobile formats and responsive design
  • Build entire visual campaigns from start to finish and implement across all acquisition channels
  • Develop longer-term creative strategy for Upgrade's marketing communications
  • Help shape the internal design process

Skills:

  • Expertise in mobile app design (iOS and Android)
  • Experience with digital banking
  • A background in a Graphic Design, HCI, a design-related program, and 5+ years of design experience 
  • Expert level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Invision and other prototyping tools
  • Experience with Keynote and PowerPoint
  • Ability to collaborate with designers, strategists, managers, and technologists 
  • Ability to communicate design rationale to internal team and other stakeholders
  • Drive the design process during all phases of the project
  • Deep knowledge of full user experience design process
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and CMS tools like Wordpress
  • Motion graphic and animation skills are a plus
  • Portfolio demonstrating excellence in product design
