About us

Pomelo Care is the national leader in evidence-based healthcare for women and children. We deliver personalized, high-quality clinical interventions from reproductive care and pregnancy, infant care and pediatrics, to hormonal health through perimenopause and menopause, with long-term preventive care and condition management. Our model delivers 24/7 multispecialty care to address the medical, behavioral, and social factors that most significantly impact outcomes for women and children. We partner with payers, employers, and providers to expand access to quality healthcare across the system.

Your North Star: Ensure our patient-facing midlife product is polished, easy to use, and helps patients get the care they need, when they need it.

As a Senior Product Designer, you'll be instrumental in building experiences that serve both our patients and clinical teams. This role is focused on designing an entirely new service line: women's midlife health.

This role reports to the VP of Product Design.

What you'll do:

  • Shape strategy: Lead design strategy for your cross-functional team, translating business goals into clear, beautiful interfaces.
  • Deliver high-quality designs: Apply your expertise in typography, visual hierarchy, color, motion, and modern interaction patterns to bring our brand to life through patient-facing experiences that are not only beautiful but highly usable
  • Champion data-informed improvements: Use research, usability testing, and analytics to guide both functional and aesthetic decisions that improve clarity, engagement, and funnel performance.
  • Drive growth: Design and run A/B tests and iterative optimizations across key user flows (onboarding, activation, engagement) to measurably improve conversion and retention.
  • Elevate design systems: Advocate for design excellence across the org by contributing to the design system's components, motion guidelines, and asset library, enabling consistent, high-quality design at scale.

Who you are

  • 7+ years of experience designing and shipping high-quality digital products in complex problem spaces.
  • Proven ability to move key product metrics through design. You have hands-on experience with data-driven design, growth optimization, and conversion rate optimization.
  • Skilled at bringing brand to life through product UI, turning guidelines into consistent, expressive interfaces.
  • Proficient in leveraging motion design to improve the usability and expressiveness of an interface.
  • Strong systems thinking. You connect product and operational changes to user needs while maintaining experience consistency.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially when explaining visual, interactive, and growth-focused concepts to cross-functional partners who may not work with designers regularly.
  • Portfolio required. We're looking for exceptional craft and mastery of interaction design, visual design, and UI fundamentals (typography, layout, color, hierarchy). Your portfolio should clearly explain the problems you solved, the approaches you took, and the outcomes you delivered.

Bonus points if you

  • Have worked at a startup during a period of rapid growth
