Let's go back to the chaos of company spending. Think of this, you're one of those lucky employees who's high up enough to get your own company credit card (yay!), but you're the only one in your team who has one (nay!), so come month-end, you're collecting this eclectic pile of crumpled receipts and invoices on your desk (nay!). You're nagging your team ("please give me all receipts today!"). You get emailed pictures of blurred receipts, and you get forwarded flight confirmations. It's one big puzzle and you're not in the mood for riddles.

Oh, what a joy it is to be a manager. You block off your Friday to deal with admin like this. You go through the spreadsheet that your Head of Finance has sent you, and you finally start matching receipts to missing expenses. You realize that someone made an Alibaba order, and you don't know how to categorize that expense (to be honest, you don't even know what was bought).

Happy Friday to you.

Pleo solves today's company spending problem. We empower companies with an app that links up to pre-paid cards. Every person gets a card and is trusted with spending company money. After all, if you're trusted enough to be hired, you should be trusted enough to spend money responsibly.

About the role:

To achieve our ambitious goals, we're looking for a skilled Senior Product Designer to support our Product-Led Retention and Growth team. As a senior product designer at Pleo, you'll be immersed in every step of product development. The Product-Led Retention and Growth team is responsible for projects that directly impact our key customer and business metrics.

Together with your team, you will lead the way in designing a world-class experience to help our customers get the best out of Pleo. From identifying when to optimise and when to innovate, you will work closely with your team to identify top opportunities to improve business & customer value at pace.

You will own all design contributions with your team, from discovery, research, prototyping, final design details and handing over and working closely with engineers.

The nitty gritty skills needed

  • Design Process & Presentation. Apply the optimal process & presentation methods needed for each project from double diamond, lean UX, design sprints, and playback.
  • Toolkit & Facilitation. Identify the optimal toolkits & facilitation methods required for each project from customer journey maps to workshop activities.
  • Research, Data & A/B Testing. Excellent understanding of modern research methods and you know when to apply them to each project.
  • Visual design. You’re always looking to evolve our products to be better, simpler or more elegant and constantly trying to raise our design bar with exceptional modern UI and interaction.
  • Experience Design. Raise the bar creating UX outputs that improve our user experience from IA to Experience Maps, User Journeys and User Flows.
  • Service Design & Systems Thinking. Design beyond our existing user journeys to improve our services across all customer touchpoints.
  • Business & Strategy. Take ownership of your team reaching business outcomes.
  • Software skills; Figma, Miro, Maze.

We'll geek out if you

  • Have worked on a SaaS product
  • Have worked within a Growth, adoption & retention team
  • Have worked crafting onboarding experiences for customers
  • You lean more towards the UX side of product design

Why join us?

Working at Pleo means you're working on something very exciting: the future of work. Our mission is to help every company go beyond the books. Pleo itself means ‘more than you’d expect’, and it’s been the secret to our success over the last 8 years. So it’s only fitting that we’d pass this philosophy onto our customers to help them make the most of their finances.

We think company spending should be delegated to all employees and teams, that it should be as automated as possible, and that it should drive a culture of responsible spending. Finance teams shouldn’t be siloed from the rest of the organisation – they should work in unity with marketing, sales, IT and everyone else.

Speaking of working in unity, our values tell the story of how we work at Pleo. We have four core values, the first of which is ‘champion the customer’, which means we address real pain points that businesses face. Next up is ‘succeed as a team’, which highlights how our strength lies in our diversity and trust in each other. We also ‘make it happen’ by taking bold decisions and following through to deliver results. Last but not least, we ‘build to scale’, creating lasting solutions that address today’s challenges and anticipate tomorrow’s needs.

So, in a nutshell, that's Pleo. Today we are a 850+ team, from over 100 nations, sitting in our Copenhagen HQ, London, Stockholm, Berlin, Madrid, Montreal and Lisbon offices —and quite a few full-time remotes in 35 other countries! Being HQ'd out of Copenhagen means we're inspired by things like a good work-life balance. If you don't work in the office with us, we'll help you set up the best remote setup possible and make sure you still have time to connect with your team.
