At Parallel Domain, we believe that autonomous systems – from self-driving cars to contactless delivery drones – have the opportunity to drastically improve the quality of life for billions of people. That is why we love what we do: enabling our customers to develop their technology safely using the Parallel Domain data generation platform. Our platform revolutionizes the way our customers generate sensor data for AI development. We're looking for people like you to join us in pushing the boundaries of artificial intelligence and synthetic data.
About the Role:
As our first full-time Product Designer you will define the design roadmap for our customer facing products and bring your original ideas into our organization.
Design & User Journey:
The main users of our products are both external and internal customers in an enterprise environment. Our users are highly technical and their jobs to be done can be complex. We are looking for a Product Designer who can communicate with our customer profile as well as understand and implement the user journeys into our design. Ideally, you have worked with users of similar industry profile (e.g., Computer Vision, Machine Learning) before. Our product design should be as distinguished as our Synthetic Data.
Prototyping:
Working along with our Product team, you are able to quickly prototype new product ideas into wireframes or more. We are looking for someone who is great at understanding and envisioning possible design paths, and being able to share them with the team afterwards. You bring expertise with you on which software tools and processes to use, and implement best practices at Parallel Domain.
Software UX:
For existing and new products, you revise and build out the user experience and can communicate improvements to our developers to implement. Even with growing complexity of requirements, a user's experience never regresses with you as our Product Designer.
What You Bring:
- Experience in designing web-based enterprise products
- Prototyping tools like Figma are your home
- A visual-first mindset
- Understanding of UX as well as UI and interest to stay up to date with advancements in both
- Leadership experience
- Strong ability to communicate ideas with internal and external customers
- Great at understanding and envisioning possible design paths, and being able to share them with the team
- Expert on which software tools and processes to use
- Experience in the B2B space
What You Will Do
- You’ll be creating mockups and wireframes to communicate concepts
- Interface with all of our teams to integrate all aspects of the product
- Communicate with customers to help solve their needs with design
- Build the craft and implement best practices
What Will Help You Stand Out
- Experience in designing products for CV / ML teams
- Web development skills for fast prototype implementation
- Having worked with 2D and 3D web technologies
- You understand the key differences of Camera, LiDAR and RADAR
