The Seismic Product Design team is a diverse group of fun, hard-working and highly collaborative people. Each designer brings a unique lens to table to help us realize our goal of designing software that is driven by empathy and validated with data.
Seismic continues to expand our product design team, and we’re looking for a passionate and talented Senior Product Designer to help us design and build the next generation of Seismic products. Understands the various intents, use cases, and personas within our application and leads the creation of an aspiring vision and experience strategy focused on unifying product areas and enabling seamless and cohesive experiences

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Ownership: Leading the design effort on projects that are top-level priority within Seismic
- Team Lead: Guiding the work of other designers on your projects. Providing feedback and mentoring as they grow and improve. Ensuring that the overall team is delivering high-quality work that meets user and business needs
- Strategy: In close partnership with the SVP Design and Design Leadership Team, help to execute and inform the ongoing evolution of the Design strategy and influence the Product strategies across our company.
- Impact: You are able to develop innovative patterns and systems that are durable, repeatable and set a new standard for interaction for the company.
- Provide proactive training on best practices to larger R&D on frameworks, processes, templates, tools, etc
- Best Practices: Maintain structure and systems that drive operational efficiency and effectiveness for the team and our customers
- Mantle design system (components, patterns, documentation, tools, etc.)
- Information architecture (structure, models, and navigation of application)
- Optimizes experience architecture to promote findability and usability
- Optimizing infrastructure to ensure scalability
- Reducing cost of rebuilding non-reusable solutions or patterns
- Speeding up time-to-value through easier findability of information
- Improve product quality and perception of software
- Collaboration: work with leaders of other functions (e.g. PM, Eng, Research, Analytics, Marketing) to ensure that teams are collaborating effectively to execute on company strategy
- Leadership: Representing Seismic Product Design publicly in whatever form feels natural to you: writing, speaking, tweeting, community outreach, etc
What You Bring To The Team:
- 6+ years working on an in-house team, and hands-on experience doing UX / Product Design
- 6+ years designing for enterprise software solutions
- Experience working on broad, sophisticated design projects in a fast-growing environment.
- Exceptional skills in the craft and execution of product design work, from high level strategic direction down to UI design details. A highly-attuned product sensibility.
- Strong systems and conceptual thinker, ability to understand complex systems.
- Ability to communicate (written and verbally) with precision, clarity, honesty, and respect.
- Ability to effect change. There are many things that we still need to evolve and improve about how we work, and this role will be a key part in driving that change.
