The Role

We are looking for an experienced senior manager, product marketing to drive strategic commercialization efforts at SimplePractice. In this highly visible position, you will lead several high impact initiatives contributing to both short term and long term company goals, and report to the Product Marketing Lead. This position is focused on the inbound motion of product marketing, looking at a customer problem from initial concept to cohesive GTM plan leaning on a data driven approach. You will work closely with business and product teams as well as partner closely with consumer insights, outbound marketing, and several internal marketing groups.

Responsibilities 

  • Drive commercialization strategy for new products and services within the SimplePractice portfolio 
  • Champion the voice of the customer and translate insights into break-through GTM plans, messaging, and product requirements.
  • Leverage the appropriate learning strategies, including qualitative and quantitative consumer research and A/B in-market testing to roll-out well positioned offers that deliver high confidence business outcomes 
  • Bring strong creative chops to craft winning value props and claims based on deep customer insights, understand how to build a brand and breakthrough to end customer
  • Key marketing driver for large scale strategic initiatives, and thought partner to help inform the product’s long term plan, and product marketing plan 
  • Drive go-to-market strategies for key product releases, developing clear briefs for positioning, messaging and execution across all channels to help drive demand 
  • Responsible for leading horizontally across the organization to create and deliver a truly integrated E2E strategy and experience that delights customers 
  • Champion fact-based decision-making and efficient execution across teams, acting as the ‘connective tissue’ that links our GTM initiatives to our strategy 
  • Build strong relationships with internal cross-functional partners including Product Marketing members, Channel and Performance Marketing, Finance, Analytics, Product, CI/Research as well as outside agencies and partners 
  • Accountable for business outcomes from major product launches and communicating regular updates to leadership through ongoing forecasting, reporting and root cause analyses
  • Make go-forward recommendations, present and share learning and recommendations across the organization

Desired Skills & Experience 

  • BA/BS required, MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of product marketing and go to market experience including shaping and bringing new offerings to market, as well as driving revenue & customer growth 
  • Experience developing clear and compelling value propositions, merchandising and messaging, pricing strategies, and go to market strategies for new products and services
  • Experience partnering cross functionally with internal marketing teams, product, design, analytics, research, and finance, utilizing data and insights to drive business strategy, gain alignment and influence the direction of the product roadmap 
  • Ability to turn key insights into a recommendation for a product development roadmap to differentiate the SimplePractice offering across a competitive landscape 
  • Strong storyteller with experience in developing clear and compelling value propositions, merchandising and messaging, pricing strategies, and go to market strategies for new products and services 
  • Strong analytical and problem solving orientation with clear examples of using data actively for target setting, measurement, ROI analysis and recommendations for business growth 
  • Strong in distilling and communicating complex concepts in an understandable and relatable fashion that will fit the needs for different audiences to lead cross functional teams to reach desired outcomes 
  • Ability to translate consumer insights into thoughtful GTM plans helping to deliver on critical company objectives  
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously to deliver strong, predictable results 
  • Excellent verbal, written, visual/presentation and interpersonal communication skills, as well as an effective communicator at all levels 
  • Self-starter who sees ambiguity as an opportunity. Problem solver who is excited for the challenge and willing to roll up the sleeves to overcome obstacles in creative ways 

Bonus Points 

  • Background in consulting or business strategy breaking down complex market problems, is a plus
