As a Senior Manager of Customer Advocacy Product Marketing you will own a complete Customer Advocacy program at GitLab. This program is aimed at identifying and recruiting customers to be advocates for GitLab in the market and in their companies. Our goal is to demonstrate momentum as a trusted brand among companies of all sizes – from SMBs to enterprises. As the team leader, you'll set the strategy and hire, coach, and manage a team of product marketing managers that live our values and bring the Customer Advocacy strategy to life. 

What you'll do in this role 

  • Develop a company-wide approach to tell our customer success stories to the market, and motivate customers to be GitLab advocates.
  • Recruit, coach and manage customer advocacy product marketing managers.
  • Set customer advocacy direction, staff for scale and develop the skills and career paths of all team members.
  • Own the quality, effectiveness and performance of the Customer Advocacy team results.
  • Measure and improve the impact, effectiveness, and happiness of the team.
  • Partner and work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product to drive results. 
  • Make sure the success metrics such as quarterly OKRs are identified, met, and communicated across key stakeholders.

We're looking for 

  • A team-first leader who has demonstrable experience motivating 
  • Strong Customer Advocacy and Customer Marketing experience, specially around customer case studies, references, reviews, and co-marketing development. 
  • People management experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A rich background in building customer advocacy programs.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills, skilled at project management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience in hiring, scaling, managing and leading a team.
  • Enterprise software company experience.
  • Passionate about customers and telling their stories. 
  • Strong communication skills.
  • You share our values, and work in accordance with those values.
  • Technical curiosity and ability to use GitLab.

Compensation

For Colorado residents: The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently $141,100- $257,000 for Colorado residents only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. See more information on our benefits and equity. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary. Disclosure as required by the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, C.R.S. § 8-5-101 et seq.
