Who we are & why we’re hiring

Although we're headquartered in San Francisco, we're on a journey to becoming a globally antiracist company that supports diversity, equity & inclusion wherever we do business. We employ thousands of Twilions worldwide, and we're looking for more builders, creators, and visionaries to help fuel our growth momentum.

About the job

Twilio Segment is growing rapidly and seeking a Senior Group Manager, Product Marketing & Pricing to be a team leader and individual contributor in developing the pricing and packaging strategy for the global business unit. The person in this role will build a team that will lead the design, evaluation, implementation, and measurement of pricing and packaging for all new and existing Twilio Segment products and services. Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing & Pricing, this position will play a mission-critical role in increasing the adoption of Twilio Segment products and driving revenue growth.

The Product Marketing & Pricing team is central to Twilio Segment's continued growth. We work closely with senior leadership across R&D, G&A, and go-to-market teams and executive leadership to guide pricing and packaging strategy. We lead all aspects of designing, evaluating, measuring, and implementing pricing and packaging initiatives that drive customer adoption and product revenue, and play a significant role in driving the overall direction of the global business unit.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • WRITE IT DOWN: Analyze the market, competition, and industry to develop pricing and packaging that delivers value for our customers.
  • DRAW THE OWL: Identify, design, and implement pricing, packaging, and promotion initiatives to increase customer adoption and product revenue.
  • BE AN OWNER & BE BOLD: Lead or assist in all aspects of pricing and packaging, including strategy, implementation, measurement, and continuous optimization of price and package in the market.
  • EMPOWER OTHERS: Interact extensively across all functional teams within Twilio Segment and have significant exposure to our executive leadership.
  • NO SHENANIGANS: Ensure the consistent exercise of appropriate judgment when leading cross-functional initiatives that require investments and resources from the entire business.

Qualifications

Not all applicants will have skills that match a job description exactly. Twilio values diverse experiences in other industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. While having “desired” qualifications make for a strong candidate, we encourage applicants with alternative experiences to also apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!

Twilio is looking for a leader who lives the Twilio Magic and has a demonstrated track record of leading strategic pricing and packaging initiatives and projects.  They also have:

  • 8-10+ years of work experience, including roles in B2B product marketing or management consulting.
  • Fluency in leading rigorous analyses — including market, competitive, and financial — to develop and present data-backed pricing and packaging proposals.
  • Strong preference for someone with prior experience in product marketing or a similar role that has led pricing and packaging projects for technology companies and software subscription products.
  • Technically and sales savvy with the ability to understand software and technology businesses, and recognize when investments are required for product, revenue operations, finance, marketing, sales, or customer success to ensure pricing & packaging success.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading cross-functional projects without having direct management over teams and successfully delivering impactful results.
  • Clear and concise communicator with experience in developing compelling presentations for internal stakeholders (including cross-functional teams and executives) and customers.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing value messaging and product positioning assets and deliverables that are logical and compelling.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred.
