The team
Sitting in the strategy organization, the GTM Intelligence team blends strategy, data and analytics to drive growth for the Go-To-Market teams at DocuSign. We work across all GTM departments within the company, with a primary focus on supporting Marketing, Sales and Customer Success. Our key objectives are to accelerate demand generation, drive predictable and prescriptive focus within our prospect and install base, and deliver impactful insights for our front-line teams. We measure our success primarily through the success of our GTM partners and the accuracy of our insights.

This position 

The Senior Data Product Manager is a key member of the GTM Intelligence team that is responsible for driving advanced data products for the sales and marketing organization to help drive growth and efficiency. As a Senior Data Product Manager, you'll work on analytics projects across a wide variety of domains, using your analytical skills to drive data products and insights to better understand our customers and prospects, increase efficiency, and inform strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for delivering impactful company and account diagnostics for the broader GTM organization (marketing, sales, and customer success). While this is a technical role that requires a strong data background, it also requires the ability to build strong partnerships with data scientists, data engineers and a wide variety of GTM teams across the business. As the GTM Intelligence team is small but has a wide reach, you will thrive in ambiguous situations and are very comfortable leading through influence rather than authority.

This position is an individual contributor reporting to the Senior Director of GTM Intelligence and is designated Flex. Local is preferred (50% in the San Francisco office), although remote will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Data product manager to strategize and define descriptive and prescriptive data products (ML and data science) for the GTM teams.
  • Deliver intuitive data-driven solutions that accelerate demand generation and customer growth in partnership with Marketing, Sales and Strategy teams. Projects focus on GTM person and company intelligence, such as: account prioritization, booking propensity, and recommendations.
  • Develop strong relationships and collaboration forums with GTM business teams.
  • Delivery of data product specifications and roadmap that align to corporate and departmental priorities.
  • Partner with business teams to define use cases and requirements; create product specifications; analyze and prepare data; collaborate with data scientists to develop and deploy products; and lead business activation.
  • Drive and partner in the development of core metrics, analytics framework, and data management processes that facilitate high quality data and insights.
  • Socialize available data products and their value; gather feedback from user groups; and partner with enablement teams to activate the field.

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS/Masters in computer science, engineering, statistics or related quantitative field
  • 8+ years of product management experience
  • Experience partnering with data engineering, analytics and data science teams
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to convey complex requirements in a clear, concise and credible manner
  • Experience with data analytics and modeling; data warehousing and reporting/analytical environments and systems
  • SQL proficiency
  • Experience with dataset design and specification creation, including projections, aggregates and reference tables
  • Understanding of modern BI platforms
  • Extreme attention to detail and ability to self-audit work.
  • Leadership skills to influence partners; Ability to work autonomously and have strong decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using statistics to analyze data
  • Experience with B2B and SaaS software industry
  • Knowledge of third party data
