Our payment network connectivity includes CHAPS, Open Banking, SEPA and SWIFT. We are principal issuing members of Visa and Mastercard across the UK and Europe.
Our regulatory permissions and governance structure underpin our business. We are regulated as an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) in the UK by the Financial Conduct Authority and in the Netherlands by De Nederlandsche Bank.

The Role
We’re looking for an exceptional content writer who is able to leverage AI effectively to develop impactful content in a highly technical domain. You’ll be responsible for crafting compelling, technically accurate, and strategically aligned content that positions Modulr as a thought leader in embedded payments. The Marketing team is a core part of Modulr and works cross-functionally with sales, product, ops and compliance functions to deliver on our go-to-market objectives. This role reports into the Marketing Director.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute a content strategy
Define and execute a content strategy that supports Modulr’s business objectives, product positioning, and go-to-market plans. Align content themes with key industry trends and customer pain points.
- Create high-impact, multi-format content
Write and edit a range of content assets including whitepapers, thought leadership articles, case studies, product explainers, blog posts and more. Ensure all content is technically accurate, insight-driven, and tailored to target personas across the buyer journey.
- Translate complex concepts into clear narratives
Break down intricate topics into accessible, engaging content for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Lead AI-Driven Content Innovation
Leverage Ai tools to accelerate content ideation, drafting, and repurposing. Experiment with AI-enhanced formats (e.g., interactive explainers, smart summaries, dynamic content personalisation) to increase reach and engagement.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally
Work closely with Product Marketing, Product, Sales and teams across the business to ensure content is aligned with product capabilities, regulatory requirements, and customer needs. Act as a bridge between technical teams and external audiences.
- Support Campaigns and GTM Initiatives
Contribute to integrated marketing campaigns by developing content that supports lead generation, product launches, and partner initiatives. Ensure consistency of messaging across channels and touchpoints.
- Maintain Editorial Excellence
Uphold high standards of clarity, tone, and accuracy. Ensure all content reflects Modulr’s brand voice and values, and is compliant with relevant financial regulations and industry standards.
- Monitor Industry Trends and Competitor Content
Stay informed on developments in payments, fintech, and AI. Identify content gaps and opportunities to position Modulr as a thought leader in the space.
About you
You will have a track record of delivering results in a fast-moving business where complexity and ambiguity is the norm. Excellent collaboration and attention to detail is essential to being successful in this role.
- A stellar track record as a content writer, with a proven portfolio that exemplifies excellent copywriting skills and a strong creative flair.
- Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience leveraging AI to maximise impact and efficiency.
- Strong research skills with an ability to synthesise a large amount of complex information and distil key messages to convey to your target audience.
- A proven ability to communicate in a clear and structured manner with internal and external stakeholders and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Preference for experience in a B2B environment.
