About the Role
Kraken is seeking a Senior Content Writer to write and edit educational, engaging and high-performing content for Kraken’s blog.
The ideal candidate is an experienced content marketing writer with a portfolio of articles covering crypto, blockchain or finance related topics. You understand how content works at each stage of the buyer’s journey and how it supports the customer lifecycle. You intuitively connect every draft to an informed understanding of the audience’s needs and pains in relation to where they are in the buyer’s journey. You are adept at researching and breaking down complex topics and creating creative and original content that answers poignant unasked questions, creating clarity and insight for readers to apply to their lives.
You will work closely with the Blog Editor and Blog team to write and edit educational articles for Kraken Blog.
You bring experience writing and editing content in finance, crypto, or for another dynamic, global fintech company. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are confident navigating ambiguity and rapidly shifting priorities. You have a bias towards action, never miss a deadline and make every piece sing.
Note: This role will be based in North America in a remote capacity.
Responsibilities
- Write and edit blog articles in a variety of formats, able to achieve business objectives up and down the funnel
- Skillfully shepherd drafts through a multi-stakeholder and SME review process to deliver a product that is aligned and of the highest quality possible
- Conduct thorough research in support of writing or editing all educational articles
- Write and edit all educational articles using SEO best practices and keyword research
- Collaborate and contribute to the development of a rich and comprehensive content strategy
- Develop and pitch new or topical content ideas in support of the overall content strategy
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in writing and editing content at or for a reputable news organization or public-facing company in the blockchain, crypto, Web3, finance or technology space
- Extensive knowledge of crypto technology and the broader blockchain ecosystem
- Moderate-to-extensive knowledge of finance, trading & investing, and security
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Comfort in navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities
- Ability to handle a high volume of deliverables simultaneously
- Strong organizational ability and attention to detail
- High level of accountability and say-to-do ratio
- Bachelor’s degree
