Job summary
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Content Designer to join us for a 12-month fixed term contract.
You’ll be leading our Content Design discipline; planning, creating and evolving content for our products, as well as defining the overarching UX content strategy for the business. You’ll need to feel at home in a data-driven environment with lofty goals, but you’ll be supported by kind, smart colleagues.
What you’ll do
- Serve as the main point of contact for Content Design at Cazoo.
- Work with the UX Manager to define and evolve the content strategy, and become a champion for what good content practice looks like within the company.
- Manage and mentor junior members of the team.
- Partner with Product leads across different domains to understand content requirements, identify new opportunities and prioritise them based on the business and user needs.
- Plan and execute your own research projects to identify gaps in our users’ knowledge or understanding, and make content recommendations to help resolve them.
- Collaborate with the Brand Content team to define the information architecture and overall narrative across Cazoo’s website, ensuring content meets the customer needs.
- Run tests to understand and demonstrate the impact of effective content and language, regularly playing back your findings to commercial stakeholders.
- Continually elevate our content standards for accessibility and inclusivity.
Skills and experience you bring
- Experience at a senior level leading content design or strategy for a large digital product.
- Examples of where you’ve delivered large-scale content design projects, from discovery to measurement and iteration, with a particular focus on end-to-end user flows.
- Excellent communication, advocacy and influencing skills. You’ll need to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, teams and third parties to explain ideas, concepts, and rationale for your content decisions.
- Proficiency in sourcing, interpreting and leveraging data to evaluate and prove the impact of content.
- Experience creating, embedding, and maintaining content standards and guidelines.
- Bags of energy! You’ll be joining a small UX team where autonomous work is fundamental for the growth of the practice.
We value people who are:
- Customer Obsessed. At Cazoo, people come before cars. We encourage service design thinking and understanding that customers interact with Cazoo beyond just a website.
- Data Driven. We value making informed decisions and using data to inform those decisions. If there's data, use data.
- Fast Drivers. We focus on results, which means we keep the bar high and are always pushing ourselves to make fast decisions and learn as quickly as possible.
- Team Players. We encourage everyone to take ownership in their area and collaborate with others. No matter how many projects we deliver, each of us still has plenty to learn and it’s crucial we stay humble.
- Responsible owners - having and taking ownership inspires us to be the best we can be for ourselves, our teams, our customers and our business.
