Orb is searching for a skilled Senior Brand Designer to craft and maintain its brand identity, ensuring that Orb's story is effectively communicated to a global audience. The Senior Brand Designer will work closely with Design, Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to shape Orb's brand across various platforms, including product interfaces, social media, websites, launch campaigns, and emerging channels
The ideal candidate should have experience in graphic, motion, and web design, as well as video production/editing. Additionally, they should be proficient in using both traditional and generative AI tools to produce visually compelling and high-impact communications.
In this role you will:
Collaborate extensively with a diverse team of creative professionals, including graphic designers, copywriters, photographers, videographers, and animators, to enhance and refine Orb's brand identity across a wide range of channels. This includes digital platforms (websites, social media, email marketing), print materials (brochures, advertisements, packaging), illustrations, photography, video content, and animation.
Work closely with teams throughout the organization, including Marketing, Product, and Sales, to ensure consistent and effective implementation of on-brand marketing materials that align with Orb's overall brand strategy and messaging.
Design and maintain a comprehensive, scalable, and distinctive design system that encompasses typography, color palettes, imagery, iconography, and other visual elements, ensuring a cohesive and recognizable brand experience across all touchpoints.
Clearly articulate the rationale behind design decisions and foster a collaborative environment where feedback is actively sought and incorporated from partners across the organization, ensuring alignment and a shared understanding of design goals.
Deliver high-quality design work and actively seek feedback from stakeholders to continuously elevate the quality and craftsmanship of Orb's brand identity. Maintain a meticulous attention to detail while adhering to established brand guidelines to ensure consistency and brand integrity.
About you:
Experience: 5+ years of design experience in-house or at a startup, with a strong portfolio showcasing brand expertise across mediums.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate strategy and process.
Business Acumen: Ability to align design decisions with business and audience goals.
Independence & Efficiency: Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and iterate rapidly.
Core Skills: Proficiency in conceptual thinking, graphic design, visual design, typography, identity design, and advertising.
Software Proficiency: Expertise in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere), Google Slides, and Webflow.
Craftsmanship: A dedication to high-quality work, prioritizing quality over quantity, and a keen eye for detail.
Resilience & Adaptability: A thoughtful and resilient approach, understanding the iterative nature of design and the ability to operate nimbly.
