Articulate is looking for a mature visual designer with UI and illustration skills who loves to create elegant design work that tells the story of a brand. If you’re a multi-talented individual who thinks about brand design, marketing, and the visual narrative for a product/company holistically, you’ve come to the right place. For this position, brand design, ui design, and creative problem-solving capabilities are paramount. 

As a member of our team, you’ll work closely with our design and marketing teams to produce digital brand design work, marketing design systems, industry competitive illustrations, advertising campaigns, social media assets, blog visual content, data visualizations, presentation design work, feature announcement assets, sales enablement tools, and other pieces that help us tell the stories of our products and company as a whole. Most work will be digital, but there will be some print design as well.

Our ideal candidate will have knowledge of current design software and always on the lookout for new software and plugins that maximize team efficiency. They are highly skilled with every step of the design process from concept to the final deliverable. The candidate will be a motivated learner who is excited to participate in successful collaboration with peers.

What you'll do

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team on the conceptual and design development of multiple projects and campaigns across marketing, sales, content, people, and operations.
  • Craft beautiful, highly refined design work that follows our brand systems for various materials, including images for emails, web pages, social posts, presentations, digital assets, infographics, downloads, tradeshow displays, catalogs, brochures, landing pages, ads, logos and assets that will be brought to life by our in-house motion design team.
  • Create high-fidelity layouts, prototypes, and evolve design language across our marketing sites/digital properties and develop reusable patterns
  • Design polished UI, thoughtful interactions, and user flows for marketing-focused digital properties with deep knowledge of responsive handling
  • Owns building, maintaining, and evolving our marketing design systems with reusable components
  • Build and maintain brand guidelines for internal brands/products
  • Understand our brand and digital presence, and successfully complete projects accordingly with high attention to detail
  • Share learnings, best practices, and insights with colleagues and team to create a culture of continual learning and collaboration
  • Proactively communicate with peers and managers on plans, progress, and problems
  • Provide thorough and careful eye to detail and quality control
  • Advocates for high-quality design across all teams and properties
  • Be a great team player, highly self-motivated. Ability to collaborate closely with marketers, copywriters, and product designers
  • Serve as a working member of a swiftly moving cross-functional team working on multiple projects at one time with input from design leadership and stakeholders
  • Meet with executive team and other stakeholders to share work and communicate the why behind decisions you make
  • Provide thoughtful feedback to other creatives and help mentor newer talent 

What you should have

  • A highly developed visual designer with 4-7+ years professional experience working in digital media, interactive design, and print
  • A go-to expert with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Very strong conceptual digital design and layout skills
  • An artist with a point of view and honed illustration skill
  • Excellent grasp of visual design principles and elements
  • Basic understanding of front-end code principles
  • Strong understanding of design systems development and brand guideline creation
  • An autonomous, mature creative with impactful ideas that drive a brand forward
  • Someone with a passion for amazing brand design and an appreciation for elegant brand narratives
  • A well-spoken, humble creator who can present ideas effectively and concisely
  • A highly motivated individual who is both self-directed and collaborative
  • An outstanding team contributor who can provide a thoughtful viewpoint on brand and marketing design in a flexible and easygoing way—you are well-versed in giving and receiving feedback constructively
