Job Overview:

The newly formed APAC Marketing & B2C team is responsible for connecting APAC consumers to lifelong transformative learning, shaping the narrative for online education in this region  and bridging access to quality education. The team is currently focused on expanding the reach of Coursera’s brand, bringing new learners to the platform and driving category penetration for ed-tech. Reporting directly to the VP Marketing/APAC CMO,  Senior Brand & Product Marketing Lead will be responsible for developing the consumer brand and marketing strategy, leading brand campaigns, driving 360 media planning, managing  brand health across channels, and collaborating with the product team to build a meaningful story for consumers.  

This role will drive brand strategy for Coursera’s APAC Consumer Marketing team and shape the way that Coursera impacts the future of work and learning in the region. 

Responsibilities:

  • Own the Coursera Brand & Positioning strategy for the region, with India as the lead market 
  • Lead campaign strategy, shape the creative, and oversee the execution of off-platform integrated marketing programs that build brand awareness, relevance and equity 
  • Create brand health goals and  monitor regularly to understand effectiveness of strategy and creative, identifying opportunities to differentiate Coursera’s offering in the APAC region 
  • Manage the agency & creative development network across the region 
  • Partner with the B2C & Degree category leaders to build Marketing strategies that drive top-of-funnel & conversions for respective categories 
  • Partner with product teams & category leaders to build compelling product narratives and implement them on Coursera’s on-platform channels  

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of brand marketing experience, mix of FMCG and consumer tech experience preferred
  • India experience necessary; APAC experience is preferred but not mandatory 
  • Experience working closely with creative, channel, and product partners to bring brand strategies to life through distinct, impactful campaigns
  • Expertise in leading brand identity, strategy, management, and marketing
  • Analytical and data-driven, with a proven ability to synthesize brand and business data to build coherent brand strategies and recommendations 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA from a Tier-1 business school  
  • Product/service marketing experience is a plus 
  • Impactful verbal and written communicator, comfortable digging into the details of brand performance, industry space, audience needs, and product market fit to present action-oriented summaries and recommendations to executive teams 
  • Ability to define key priorities and set a strategic plan that delivers clear business results and track brand performance across regional markets
