The Opportunity.

To further capitalize on this success, we’re looking for someone to join our product marketing team, which is part of the product organization, as a Program Operations Manager. Postman embodies a data-driven culture, and this position will help the marketing team make better, data-driven decisions as we continue to innovate for our users and the API community. One of the main responsibilities of this role is helping our release management process but also will span other areas within product marketing and product. 

What You'll Do.

  • Manage key processes and activities across the Product and Operations team, related to release management and product planning.
  • Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality.
  • Make sure teams are adhering to best practices in the Software Development and Release Life Cycle.
  • Monitor progress for features in our release process and collect feedback from the different teams for review purposes.
  • Represent Operations Team as a Release Manager with matters related to compliance in regards to our product delivery.
  • Plan, and coordinate the Postman Release Review meetings and assess each feature being presented to make sure completion of all requirements for a high-quality release.
  • Facilitate release retrospectives to improve the release processes, look for new ways to be more efficient.
  • Work closely with cross-functional leaders on defining strategic initiatives to achieve growth ambition in prioritized focus areas, proactively identifying potential opportunities, gaps, needs, and actions to address.
  • Drive strategic initiatives in collaboration with senior management, managing end-to-end accountability from vision through planning and impact. Raise and track issues, remove barriers, resolve issues, and escalate to appropriate levels when required.

About You.

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD).
  • You have 2-6 years of experience in a fast-paced environment navigating ambiguity successfully, likely in a product, product development, or large complex projects in a matrix organization.
  • You are self-motivated and highly driven. You have get-things-done DNA.
  • You an agile advocate who knows how to bring new ways of working to an organization in transformation.
  • You are always learning and comfortable with constant change.
  • You bring an entrepreneurial mindset to your program management approach ... you see needs and fill them.
  • You are an excellent problem-solver and critical thinker with the ability to identify and remove barriers and enable teams to complete their objectives.
  • You are detail-oriented and proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives with overlapping timelines and deliverables.
  • You are a great listener and can communicate clearly with many types of people.
  • You put a premium on strong working relationships and know-how to use diplomacy to get things done.
  • You have great judgment and show grace under pressure.
