We are keen on hiring a Product Owner (m/f/d) for liaising with our stakeholders and shaping our data products. You will be guiding a dedicated workstream that is analysing our marketplace and designing and implementing the models that define how we effectively steer our marketplace and enable our business to make even smarter and more efficient pricing decisions. Being part of the Pricing workstream, you will work closely with data analysts, data scientists and machine learning engineers, while collaborating with business stakeholders and market specialists on a daily basis.

Your responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify key opportunities to independently scope, prioritise and lead their validation and execution end-to-end
  • Develop overall data product strategy for pricing, manage the roadmap and lead its execution to drive sustainable user engagement
  • Provide leadership in defining MVPs or Experiments that allow us to test our hypotheses while delivering a delightful customer experience
  • Work closely with data analysts, scientists and machine learning engineers. Mediate between technical and business matters, backing up your opinion with data and drive decisions forward when needed
  • Identify, understand, structure and solve complex problems in the fast-moving world of urban mobility, specifically focusing on the pricing side of the marketplace.
  • Communicate effectively with business end-users to identify pain points, use cases and problem definitions
  • Present your work to both internal and external stakeholders as well as at meetups and conferences
  • Align with other data workstream representatives and collaborate with them in order to act as efficient as possible and achieve even more

Your profile:

You are a problem solver, detail-oriented and self-motivated. You let data inform your thinking rather than relying on gut feeling. You thrive working with ambiguity and believe in lean experimentation. You are an effective communicator, a team player and avid learner.

  • Agile: You’re an experienced advocate in agile project management
  • Fluency with Data: Analytical mindset and ability to independently leverage data for prioritisation and decision making, plus experience working with data tools (e.g. Tableau, Mixpanel) 
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong collaboration, and superb communication skills (both written and oral) and ability to synthesize information quickly
  • Commercial Understanding: Proven record of taking complex business problems and coming up with innovative and effective product solutions. Understanding of marketplace dynamics will be a plus.
  • Impact: You have a solid track record of driving concrete results at consumer-facing start-ups/large organizations and experience delivering web or mobile products of a significant scale and complexity, shipping on a regular basis across different platforms.
  • You feel comfortable handling uncertainty and operate independently
  • While we typically look for candidates with advanced University degree in Maths, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or other quantitative disciplines, we're happy for you to prove us wrong and show that these degrees aren't necessary 
  • You can communicate in English. We are a very diverse team with people from all over the world and English is our language of communication.
  • You are passionate about harnessing data science and have the will to play an essential role in the future of urban transportation.

There are certain skills that we love in our candidates but they aren’t really deal-breakers for us. 

  • Prior experience with pricing in multi-sided marketplaces
  • You possess a sound understanding of statistical analysis and data-driven modelling
  • A/B Testing: Strong knowledge of Experimentation at scale
  • Enthusiasm for geo-spatial data is a big plus!
  • Prior experience working with notebooks and DataBricks stack is a big plus
