Oscar is looking for a Product Operations Manager of Process Improvement. The Product Operations team unlocks Oscar’s ability to ship more products faster and better, which is critical to Oscar’s overall mission to use technology and design to refactor healthcare.

Oscar’s work in tech spans several areas: building innovative consumer experiences, technology and infrastructure, expanding into new markets, creating better ways for healthcare providers to interact with patients, optimizing internal operations and processes, and lots more.

As Manager of Process Improvement, you will work closely with the Director of Product Operations, the Product Leadership Team and Product Managers to improve and drive end-to-end product development processes. You will own our Process Improvement focus area and work closely with cross-functional partners to drive key company initiatives that will improve how we operate and serve our customers.

You will report to the Director of Product Operations based in New York. This is a remote role, you will work remotely in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Washington. Note, this list of states is subject to change.

Responsibilities:

  • Owning and operationalizing cross-functional tech processes, such as the quarterly roadmap process, that help drive alignment and deliver value to the business and to customers.
  • Implementing continuous improvements for how the product development team builds and ships products.
  • Collaborating with Product Ops team members on how they can streamline their operational tasks.
  • Strategizing and optimizing how our product teams operate by supporting Product Leaders and Product Managers with analyses and process improvements.
  • Developing strong relationships with stakeholders and team members in and across departments.
  • Helping to define the vision and strategy for the Product Operations team.

Requirements:

  • Experienced. You have 5+ years of experience at a fast-growing tech company. 2+ years of experience in a Product Operations or Product Manager role is preferred.
  • Get things done. You have a track record of successfully executing complex cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders. You can just as easily complete an ad-hoc request from Support or Sales as you can drive a recurring product process.
  • Highly collaborative. You love being the bridge between tech teams and business teams. You see problems from both business and tech perspectives and adeptly drive alignment across multiple teams.
  • A quick study. Healthcare is complicated; you’re curious by nature and excited to get into the details. You can grasp new technical concepts, ask good questions, and are equally comfortable with engineers as with non-technical audiences.
  • Strategic and analytical. You can turn new, vague ideas into implementable projects and identify new opportunities that move the needle. You use qualitative and quantitative insights to clarify decisions wherever possible.
  • Comfortable with complex systems. You know how to analyze and decompose a complex system into its member parts, and how to communicate that complexity simply and cleanly.
  • An end-to-end thinker. You can look at a problem and create a solution all the way from top-level goals to smaller operational and system details.
