Help define and amplify the Stripe story and connect our products with users.

Our Product Marketing team’s mission is to generate customer insights that inform Stripe’s product strategy, lead go-to-market for our suite of products, and create and execute campaigns to drive product growth. Product Marketing is a highly cross-functional role at Stripe, partnering closely with Product and Engineering, Sales, Design, Developer Relations, and Communications to name a few. Different from many other Product Marketing teams, our team works across the entire product lifecycle, from helping shape the product, to driving launch and commercialization, to growing product adoption post-launch.

You are:

  • Customer oriented. You ground what you do in firsthand customer understanding. You do research, talk to customers, and use these insights to inform cross-functional partners and infuse the right content and context in the customer experiences you build
  • A team player. Product Marketers collaborate across the Marketing team and with nearly every team at Stripe. You are able to work with a range of disciplines to execute on your work. This role is highly cross-functional and has mutual dependencies on partner teams
  • Organized. You are able to manage interdependent, complex projects and keep various workstreams on track. You can be trusted to get things done, move fast, and optimize for iteration based on lessons learned at every step
  • Ambitious. You are eager to make an impact at Stripe. You thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic, hyper-growth environment and are able to operate fluidly between the 30,000-foot strategy level and the micro-detail level to get things right
  • A storyteller. You adapt how you communicate to best reach and engage your audience—from developer to CFO—and differentiate Stripe
  • Intellectually curious. You love learning how things work, and can explain technical concepts in ways that everyday people understand
  • Data-oriented. You like working with data and insights and pair that with your passion for users to generate balanced and thoughtful points of view for how to take our products to market
  • A hands-on content creator. You will apply research, strategy, and creativity to content production, and deliver a stream of high-impact content and collateral to tell our solutions story
  • Optionally, knowledgeable about payments. You have an understanding of the network of partners and stakeholders in the payments ecosystem, and are excited about what sets Stripe apart in this market

You will:

  • Understand our customers within our target segments and verticals (including by talking regularly with current and prospective customers), and serve as an advocate for their needs in order to shape product strategy
  • Become an expert in Stripe’s multi-product solutions and the use cases they address by segment and industry
  • Work closely with a range of cross-functional teams—product management, engineering, design, UX research, marketing—to bring our multi-product solutions to market and drive solution adoption
  • Develop solution messaging and positioning informed by user research, market insights, and product understanding
  • Understand our customer journeys, quantitatively measure the effectiveness of our solution marketing programs in driving the outcomes we want to see, and analyze customer data to identify new trends and emerging patterns in multi-product usage
  • Think globally as we work to expand our solutions around the world, adapting your understanding of local market needs, competitors, and pricing accordingly
  • Write compelling copy and clear internal docs. This is a writing-intensive role, and the bar for your writing is high: you’ll write crisp, vivid prose with confident control over voice and tone
  • Create customer-facing assets that are polished, visually balanced, and consistent with Stripe’s brand guidelines. You need not be a designer, but you’ll need to have an eye for design, and be comfortable expressing concepts visually

We're looking for someone who has:

  • 7+ years of go-to market experience working in technology, infrastructure, or platform companies is preferred
  • A startup mentality with a bias to action and the ability to flex in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working on marketing or growth throughout a product's lifecycle
  • Experience working in B2B settings and with sales teams is preferred
  • Experience in payments or financial services is preferred but not required
