Who we are

Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations Cloud, which allows businesses that depend on physical operations to harness IoT (Internet of Things) data to develop actionable business insights and improve their operations. Founded in San Francisco in 2015, we now employ more than 1,800 people globally and have over 1.5 million active devices. Samsara also went public in December 2021 and we’re just getting started.

Recent awards we’ve won include:

  • #2 in the Financial Times’ Fastest Growing Companies in Americas list 2021
  • Named as a Best Place to Work in Built In 2022
  • #19 in the Forbes Cloud 100 2021
  • IoT Analytics Company of the Year in 2022’s IoT Breakthrough Winners
  • Forbes Advisor named us the Best Solution for Large Companies - Fleet management software for 2022!

We're driving change in industries that are yet to fully embrace digital transformation. Physical operations make up a massive slice of the global economy but haven’t benefited from innovation and actionable information in the way that other sectors have. The potential for scale and impact is huge.

About the role:

We are looking for a Product Marketer for the Product Go-To-Market team to help us accelerate adoption of our newer product lines, create solution-driven narratives, and bring new products to market through sales. At Samsara, the Product Marketing team is responsible for launching over 100 new hardware and software products to market each year, partnering closely with product, sales, customer success, and broader marketing teams.

Your work will not only have a direct impact on the future of some of Samsara’s fastest growing product lines, but will also impact Samsara’s long-term growth goals. This role is for you if you pride yourself on your creative problem solving skills, make decisions using a data-driven approach, can execute quickly to support a fast-growing market, enjoy working with various teams and leaders, and are excited to learn new skills.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with PMM leadership to develop and execute on GTM strategy for an emerging product, including messaging, positioning, launch planning, sales enablement, customer adoption, and multi-product campaigns.
  • Drive creative, multi-channel marketing campaigns that resonate with internal and external audiences. Partner with growth, demand generation, marketing operations, and other product marketers to execute, measure results, and share learnings.
  • Build product marketing programs and frameworks to promote Samsara’s products and services, internally and externally, and drive organizational excellence.
  • Be a technical, subject matter expert and create messaging that showcases Samsara’s vision and unique story to diverse audiences. The results can range from keynote presentations, to hands-on workshops, to customer-centric videos, and more.
  • Develop insights based on product usage data, voice of customer, campaign effectiveness, industry trends, and competitive intel and translate those insights into actionable recommendations that promote business objectives and drive tangible results.
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally.

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • 4-6+ years of relevant experience in product marketing, solution marketing, growth marketing, product management, or go-to-market strategy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You’re comfortable presenting to internal and external audiences (large and small) and are an expert at creating and editing everything from pithy emails to detailed launch plans to researched white-papers and more.
  • Ability to synthesize and distill complex information into clear, concise messaging for different audiences.
  • Experience in high-growth technology companies and/or fast-paced startups – you’re happiest operating without a set playbook and hold yourself to a high standard of excellence.
  • Strong cross-functional leader – you have on-the-job experience managing and communicating complex projects with many stakeholders.
  • You’re detail-oriented, yet can think big picture; analytical, yet creative; and a self-starter who is not afraid to execute and get in the weeds.

An ideal candidate also has:

  • Experience in B2B marketing.
  • High sense of urgency and ambitious work ethic to drive business outcomes.
  • Analytical chops to understand customer data and measure the effectiveness of marketing programs.
  • Desire to conduct product, customer, and market research.

At Samsara, we welcome everyone regardless of their background, race, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, disability, age, etc. We depend on the unique approaches of our team members to help us solve complex problems. We are committed to increasing diversity across our team and ensuring that Samsara is a place where people from all backgrounds can make an impact.
