The database market is massive (IDC estimates it to be $121B+ by 2025!) and MongoDB is at the head of its disruption. At MongoDB we are transforming industries and empowering developers to build amazing apps that people use every day. We are the leading modern data platform and the first database provider to IPO in over 20 years. Join our team and be at the forefront of innovation and creativity.

Delivery of industry-leading professional services (PS) is one of the key ways we ensure customer success. Our instructor-led training gives customers the foundations they need to build and deploy with MongoDB, while consulting engagements provide hands-on support for customers’ most critical projects.

We’re looking for a motivated Product Marketing Manager to join our fast-growing Product Marketing Organization to drive the go-to-market strategy for MongoDB's Professional Services, with a primary focus on Instructor-led Training and Flex Consulting. As a PMM, you'll be responsible for driving the strategy, messaging, and positioning of these professional services areas, while also iterating and aligning with the holistic PS value proposition. You’ll not only collaborate closely with other Product Marketers and with Professional Services leadership, but also interact with almost every team across the company to execute on your plans, evaluate the results, and share your successes.

The position can be based in anywhere in North America or one of our offices.

What you’ll do

  • Define the go-to-market strategy for new Training and Flex Consulting engagement models in close collaboration with Professional Services leadership
  • Own and manage the execution of the launch of new training courses, Flex Consulting offerings, purchasing channels, and more by working with multiple teams (including Product, Design, Marketing, Sales, Education, and more)
  • Contribute to the holistic Professional Services value proposition and go-to-market programs by aligning and integrating Instructor-led Training and Flex Consulting offerings. From time to time, this may include advising and assisting with PS offerings in other PS service areas.
  • Create compelling messaging and positioning that showcases the value of our professional services to our target audiences
  • Conduct customer research to understand the pain points, needs, and workflows of our buyers and users
  • Plan and execute marketing efforts on behalf of professional services, track their results, and adjust course as needed
  • Enable sales teams to successfully sell professional services: clearly define the value of services to both customers and sales, deliver internal training and enablement, ensure sales teams understand our offerings well enough to engage with customers, and create customer-facing materials for sales to use
  • Devise and experiment with new tactics to increase professional services sales, especially via self-service channels

We’re looking for someone with

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience (product marketing, marketing, sales enablement), with extra points for experience in marketing professional services at a technology company
  • Experience taking on complex projects and owning them from start to finish; organized and efficient
  • The ability to take a complex landscape and distill it into a clear and easily consumable picture
  • The skills to clearly articulate the value of a product/service to customers, but also to sales teams in a way that enables them to communicate it to customers
  • Experience leading product or feature launches autonomously and contributing to larger launches within a team
  • Strong product/service instincts and technical curiosity that translates to clear packaging, positioning, and messaging
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills
  • The ability to thrive in cross-functional environments and effectively collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and teams
  • A a customer-first approach to all projects

Don’t miss this opportunity to contribute to a maturing Product Marketing organization and learn from a diverse and experienced team during an exciting period of fast growth and expansion. If you want to be at a company where you can learn something new every day and grow your skills in different areas of product marketing, you should definitely apply for this position.
