Job Description

We are looking for a creative, data-driven marketer to join Square as the Product Marketing Manager on the Customers and Point of Sale Add-ons team, focused on product launches and marketing optimization for international markets. International growth for this product area exceeds 100% year-over-year. You will work with both global product-focused product marketers and local market product marketersUS and global product marketers to ensure the success of this portfolio of products, including Invoices, Customer Directory (Square's CRM), Marketing, Loyalty, and Gift Cards.

Our customers love these products because they're well designed, easy to use, and integrated with the rest of Square's ecosystem and their business operations. Each of these products is supported by a full-stack team, spanning across product, design, product marketing, engineering, operations and growth. Square launched in Ireland and France in 2021, Spain in January 2022, and more new markets to come.

You Will:

  • Launch products in markets where Square has an existing go-to-market presence, including project management and execution
  • Perform competitive analysis and market research for pricing and positioning insights across multiple products and markets
  • Analyse in-market performance post-launch for selected products across geographies to determine optimization strategies
  • Be a conduit for the voice of the customer to the product team
  • Identify target customers, their needs, and how products will meet those needs
  • Compare and understand variances in customer needs through analysis of surveys, interviews, and product usage data
  • Develop marketing strategies to accelerate growth of invoices products among target audience
  • Drive post-launch marketing programmes to increase product growth
  • Review competitive offerings and promote ongoing differentiation

Qualifications

You Have: 

  • 5+ years working in product marketing, project management, growth or lifecycle marketing, management consulting or similar go-to-market experience
  • Previous background in B2C or B2B marketing with experience in either consumer apps / technologies, early stage startups, or with exposure to small business audiences
  • Expert in managing complex projects and work streams with many cross-functional teams involved.
  • Knowledge of SaaS-based and freemium business models along with email and paid marketing for both acquisition and lifecycle marketing
  • Genuine interest in and curiosity in helping small businesses succeed
  • Strong proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets; basic competency in SQL a plus
