About this role
We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager for Faire’s virtual events, one of Faire’s most popular and highest revenue-generating initiatives. In this role, you’ll oversee strategic development and day-to-day execution for bi-annual Faire Markets, partner closely with our category and international teams to develop a verticalized event program, and lead highly cross-functional teams to develop and scale a playbook for launching and driving engagement of our event program This is a high-visibility, high-impact role at Faire that touches many teams and has tons of white space.
As an early member of Faire’s product marketing team, you’ll have the opportunity to help build the PMM function from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in events or promotions, be comfortable with autonomy, and be equally enthusiastic about strategy and execution. They will have a passion for leading cross-functional teams across product, marketing, design, and sales.
What you’ll do
- Manage go-to-market strategy and execution for Faire Markets, overseeing event scope development, GTM planning, goaling, and a multi-month pre-show event process
- Scale and streamline our events program at Faire, collaborating with the brand, apparel, and international teams to create a platform and process for efficiently planning and growing events
- Partner with our brand marketing and events teams to create a symbiotic relationship between offline and online events, develop industry-leading programming, and build community among Faire customers
- Lead cross-functional teams across Marketing, Sales, and Operations to ensure successful, collaborative, and on-time execution of events plans
- Demonstrate data-driven rigor and a results-oriented approach by establishing key metrics for each product marketing campaign and tracking performance against goals
- Build operational excellence for Faire’s nascent product marketing function — as an early PMM at Faire, you’ll help define the role and identify new opportunities for impact
Qualifications
- You have 5+ years of relevant experience in product marketing, product management, pricing, sales enablement, consulting, or go-to-market strategy for new products
- You have 1+ years of experience in event strategy, whether B2B or B2C, preferably omnichannel, conferences/trade shows, or content/lead generation (i.e. webinars)
- You're a strong cross-functional leader who can influence outcomes across multiple stakeholders, especially product and sales
- You're equal parts strategy & execution - You love creating developing an audacious vision for exceptional customer experiences and equally thrive driving the details and executional launch plan for the program
- You’re a persuasive communicator — you sell the dream to rally a team and inspire customers through energizing customer-centric marketing
- You’re a data-driven marketer who loves to measure and improve the performance of your craft
- You’re passionate about retail and believe in Faire’s mission to help local retail succeed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with sales teams and developing sales enablement/collateral
- Knowledge of the apparel industry
- International events experience
