How we do it

Ascend automates insurance payments end-to-end — from online customer payments and financing to the distribution of commissions and carrier payables — so that insurance distributors can eliminate laborious, expensive processes while giving their customers the great online checkout and financing experience they've come to expect. Think Stripe + Affirm + Modern Treasury for insurance.

Your role

You'll join as the second hire on our marketing team at an early stage of our startup journey as we work to modernize the insurance industry's payments infrastructure. You’ll wear many hats but you’ll be focused on comprehending our customer needs and expectations and how to communicate effectively to our customers to match their product experience with these expectations. You’re a strong self-starter but enjoy working cross-functionally. You love speaking to customers and don’t shy away from it.

Responsibilities will include

  • Work closely with the Customer Success team to build a best-in-class onboarding experience and customer journey

  • Assist in creating marketing materials and assets for BD and Customer Success, including blog content, monthly newsletters, customer success stories, and more

  • Build and carry out go-to-market strategies for new feature launches 

  • Be able to build a communication strategy targeted across the customer base, the insurance vertical - from insurance agent to MGAs to carriers

You might be a good fit if you are/have

  • 2+ years of product marketing or lifecycle marketing experience

  • Have a deep knowledge of CRM tools like Hubspot, Salesforce, etc.

  • Experience working with email marketing tools like Iterable, Customer.io, etc

  • Can take both creative and analytical approaches to solutions

  • You have experience building customer journey map

  • Strong foundation in experimentation, A/B testing
