As a Product Marketing Manager reporting into the Senior Product Marketing Manager on the Square Appointments team, you will have an opportunity to drive impact for the millions of small businesses utilising our platform to start, run and grow their business. Square Appointments helps businesses in the services industry succeed by building everything they need to run their business: scheduling and online booking, a point of sale that tracks customer details, and a secure, fast payments system.
The ideal candidate is an energetic self-starter, motivated to dive in and learn by doing. They have a solid understanding of product strategy and experience with SaaS business models. This person can ramp up quickly, partner well with cross-functional teams, and work efficiently and effectively against goals.
The Product Marketing team at Square ensures that the right customers are getting the right message, through the right channels and represents the customer's voice in product strategy decisions. This role will focus on go-to-market opportunities and new market launches as well as implementing growth and marketing strategies to help grow its beauty, health and wellness point of sale product. An experienced Product Marketing Manager, you will understand product strategy, growth marketing, positioning and messaging.
This role has a European focus, and so launching products across multiple markets will be important. It is based out of our EU HQ in Dublin and we support remote working within the Republic of Ireland (hybrid working and office attendance also options).
You Will:
Partner closely with product, growth marketing, engineering, user research, and data science to understand product performance and customer needs to inform go-to-market plans
Identify target customers, their needs, and how products will meet those needs through surveys, interviews, and product usage
Develop product positioning, value propositions, and messaging to be used in product development and marketing campaigns
Drive marketing strategies that increase sign-ups, product awareness, and customer satisfaction, targeting both prospects and existing Square sellers
Ensure product releases are launched with appropriate localisation and messaging for each market
Ensure all customer-facing teams are on-message and maximising each channel (paid and organic).
Be the liaison between the product team and international Sales/Marketing/Customer Success teams to gather feedback and collaborate on local marketing opportunities and partnerships
Champion Square Appointments with content marketing, comms/PR, event marketing, and brand to drive maximise market awareness, ensure all customer-facing teams are on-message, and maximise marketing channels
Enable sales and account managers with the right materials to sell with confidence and ease
Look for opportunities to develop marketing campaigns and projects unique to a specific market
Partner with US Product Marketing Managers to inform international growth alignment
Be the voice of the EU customer and partner with Product Management, Design and Engineering to define the international product strategy and influence the product roadmap
Track marketing program performance and optimise through continuous testing
Assess competitive offerings and promote ongoing differentiation
You Have:
5+ years of professional experience
2+ years in product marketing or similar go-to-market experience
The ability to work with EU-based sellers/Square team members and global Square colleagues located in various timezones in the US (email, video meetings, in person)
Experience working in product marketing, growth or lifecycle marketing, or similar go-to-market positions
Experience with marketing and go-to-market in the EU market
Background in B2B or B2C marketing, with experience delivering growth in consumer tech or small to medium business tech
Experience in growth or lifecycle marketing by email, in-product, content marketing, and other owned/ earned channels
Passion for Square and desire to help Square Sellers in EU succeed
Experience driving work forward independently
