About the Role

It’s an exciting time to join Marketing at Matterport. We have a new CMO and leadership team, and we’re amidst a major evolution into our next chapter as a business. On Product Marketing, we will play a key role in the transformation that is in progress to fuel Matterport’s next wave of growth. As the Product Marketing Director, Pricing & Packaging, you will have the responsibility to help determine and set how Matterport makes profit, at the level of individual products and across the entire Matterport Hardware & Software portfolio. You will partner with Product & a large part of Matterport business and guide the Packaging, Pricing architecture, and Pricing of all Matterport products. You will guide the executive leaders of the portfolio to make decisions around product growth and pricing strategy. You will provide thought partnership to Product Managers on their approach. You will pressure test pricing proposals to ensure pricing structure consistency, value pricing, and implementation – serving as a key partner to marketing and sales teams around the world who are responsible for selling our products to customers.

What you will do:

  • Develop pricing strategy for new and existing products, including innovative packaging and pricing architectures and value pricing to capture the full business value delivered.
  • Translate pricing decisions into key customer facing materials, including but not limited to web, sales enablement, and external facing sales collateral.
  • Create actionable insights using data sources, multiple strategic perspectives, and a variety of analytical techniques that support your recommendations & decisions.
  • Help drive evolving operational processes and practices – as we shift to a greater share of revenue from Enterprise and SaaS, while consistently helping maintain healthy revenue from hardware.
  • Act as a thought partner to the product team and other key stakeholders to ensure optimal growth and operationalization of product and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with industry Subject Matter Experts to ensure pricing & packages effectively serve our customers’ needs across 6 verticals – Residential Real Estate, Commercial Real Estate, Travel & Hospitality, Retail, Public Sector, and Architecture/Construction/Engineering.

Who you are:

  • Prior experience working on pricing & packaging is a must, ideally in B2B with experience in a SaaS revenue-led company
  • Prior experience working in subscription-based organization with customers across SMB, mid-market, and enterprise 
  • 10-12 years experience in pricing, packaging or marketing 
  • Player-coach mentality. This person will be one of the most senior people on the team, and must effectively influence & align cross-functional teams & leaders at all levels.
  • User obsessed. Champion the voice of the customer and Lead by example. Help be a part of growing the Marketing & PMM functions at Matterport. You’re ready to roll up your sleeves and bring best practices and learnings from your prior roles to fuel the next wave of Matterport’s growth. 
  • Right & left-brained. You blend quantitative and qualitative insights to find untapped opportunities for growth, and help scale frameworks that help your team do the same.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-autonomy and fast-paced environment. You’ve worked in high growth organizations through internal transformations – and want to be part of building the playbook for how we’ll operate in the future.
