Job Description

This role will report to the Product Lead and is responsible for turning the product vision, strategy and design into reality. This position requires an experienced Product Manager with deep payments experience and a proven ability to get things done and shall:

  • Analyse and document the problems and challenges of global cross-border wallet payments
  • Lead, manage and build the Wallet Network that underpins the expansion of Visa Direct and Visa Payments Limited to 'new end-points. Define product vision and strategy for these new end points
  • Understand evolving needs and challenges of clients and partners and other stakeholders in the 'new end point ecosystem and ensure Network product capabilities are tailored to meet those needs
  • Lead wallet Network Integration solutioning in partnership with the wider product and technology teams, launch the initial solution in 12-months
  • Serve as primary liaison with Technology, other Product Teams and other stakeholder group leadership to represent Visa Direct and Visa Payments Limited priorities, plans and needs for the functional area within their remit
  • Work cross-functionally with Visa Direct and Visa Payments Limited product teams globally and other stakeholders to develop platform constructs including Network Integrations, network operating rules, Settlement functions, Regulatory, Treasury/Settlement processes and other elements.
  • Support the evaluation of new product or network product features by creating and improving product KPIs.
  • Lead the collation and documentation of business requirements (or Network Partner related services) to create feature backlog
  • Produce reports to summarise performance of Product or network integration supporting features.
  • Provide recommendations for product (or network strategy) and associated roadmap based on business, market need and performance through analysis of new product features.
  • Support the transformation of product ideas into actionable concepts, timelines, and projects whilst considering the financial implications, marketing needs, and the overall objectives of Visa Payments Limited.
  • Oversee and deliver against their own functional (or Network) roadmap within own remit
  • Evaluate stakeholder feedback and work with other Product managers to address concerns and identify opportunities for improvement and enhancement
  • Ensure continuous improvement across the product (or Network Integration) portfolio to support revenue targets and forecasted profits with a focus on client and customer experience
  • Oversee and support the delivery of new features (or Network Integrations) or enhancements
  • Respond to complex issues, challenges and concerns related to product and network partner features, challenging and pushing back as required.
  • Build and manage relationships with both internal and external senior stakeholders, escalating only in the most complex situations.
  • Explain complex issues and work with others to reach a consensus in order to achieve the project objectives/success criteria
  • Be a thought leader for the 'New End Points' Network team and represent the team in internal and external forums to highlight the new capability benefits and how it fits in with the overall Visa Direct and Visa Payments Limited proposition
  • Manage a team of product owners, ensuring backlog items are appropriately prioritised.
  • Ensure any improvements following sprint retrospectives are actioned
  • Validate sprint plans align with strategic objectives, and support scrum team when sprint deviates from plan.
  • Validate team appropriately balance allocation of time each sprint for new defects, spikes, defects etc.
  • Coordinate across cross-functional stakeholder groups and Product Managers to help make decisions that best serve strategic themes
  • Review QA test results for critical and complex product features.
  • Create release plans and maintain continuous release calendar.
  • Perform the role of a business partner, by maintaining a deep awareness of how the business operation works.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of work experience and a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience
• Demonstrate strong capability in Agile product management techniques and practices to ensure delivery of high quality and innovative product offerings.
• +3 years’ experience in payment industry, FX, cross border payments, SWIFT payments, ACH payments, ISO20022, global instant payments schemes across P2P, B2C, B2B, RTP and digital wallets
• +3 Year solid but proven experience and understanding of Product Management discipline and e2e product development lifecycle
• Excellent planning, problem solving, organisation, analytical and issue resolution skills
• Demonstratable in-depth knowledge and experience of cross border payment schemes and standards, payment processing technologies and regulations.
• Proven experience working in an Agile methodology environment (e.g. SCRUM, DSDM, Lean/Kanban).
• Strong customer-facing or externally facing communication skills and technical aptitude.
• Confident working with limited direction, usually within a complex and evolving environment, to drive delivery of solutions while influencing cultural change.
• Communicate effectively and proactively with management ideas and recommendations for optimising business operations
• Organizational and leadership abilities to influence, negotiate and drive results
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to resolve scheduling and other conflicts in order to meet all deadlines.
• Great intellectual agility and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across different disciplines both written and oral.
• Ability to forge good working relationships with key stakeholders and functional teams across Visa and Visa Payment Limited
• Ability to work with teams across time zones to identify, balance, prioritize and deliver on defined success metrics
• Ability to work independently, prioritise own and Team’s workload to meet deadlines under pressure
• Ability to embrace change and ambiguity in an ecosystem that is rapidly evolving.
• Ability to work independently with strong time management and ability to execute on multiple concurrent deliverables
• Ability to analyse large transactional data sets, interpret ambiguous situations, and make decisions under pressure
• Strong knowledge of MS-Office products for Windows including Word, Excel, Visio, and SharePoint.
• Experience using various toolsets specifically Jira and Confluence
• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships and work collaboratively with and delivering through others
• Excellent written, oral and presentation skills and an ability to synthesize information and make clear, concise recommendations on a course of action
• Excellent skills in drafting presentations, reports, communications, and other deliverables
