About the Team

The Trails team helps our millions of users leverage photos, reviews, routes, and more to narrow in on that next perfect adventure. They are responsible for scaling efficient and accurate trail curation across the globe and ensuring these trails have high-value, accurate information for our users.  This team is also responsible for allowing users to create custom routes, print maps, and explore trails in 3D before even stepping out the door.  Our most visited product pages and multiple paid features both live within this team’s purview giving them the unique ability to drive value across nearly every area of our business. 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Identifying challenges and and driving new feature development from start to finish
  • Serving as the leader of a dedicated, smart, cross-functional pod 
  • Identifying and tracking success metrics to measure project performance related to product changes
  • Leveraging data and research to identify business trends, inform decision-making, and drive product recommendations.
  • Making constant tradeoffs between optimizing existing product features and building new product features to best drive business outcomes
  • Partnering with engineering and program management to plan and run sprint cycles for your pod and ensuring the team is focused on the highest impact product work
  • Collaborating closely with design, UXR, and engineering to solve problems and drive product work forward with a shared vision

Requirements:

  • 2 - 4 years of product management experience, with a focus on aggregating large sets of information and surfacing them to users in insightful ways
  • You are passionate about balancing delivering business results with building features users love. You not only own the user metrics but also own and optimize business performance metrics as well
  • A history of fast-paced delivery and continuously shipping incremental wins 
  • Strong analytical abilities paired with a data-informed mindset, You're passionate about experimentation and A/B testing
  • Experience with and strong ability to formulate and present analyses and business cases to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A team player who loves collaborating with engineers and designers, operating without ego - and having fun along the way

Bonus Points:

  • Past work experience with user-generated content and complex information architecture
  • Familiarity with SEO
  • Experience managing e-commerce, inventory, or photo-related features
