Your Team:
You would work with the intelligence unit within Postman that aims to extract insights from the data on the API ecosystem to deliver Intelligence that powers the Postman API platform. You would be amongst the first members of the security observability squad and help set up the squad along with the engineering manager, product designer, and tech lead. This role reports to the head of the intelligence unit.
What You'll Do:
Brainstorm, research, and come up with proposals to bring the best API governance, observability, and security practices to Postman’s 17 million+ users.
Help deliver proofs-of-concept, MVPs, and features in the API observability space and work with leadership to define the vision and mission of the squad.
Develop the product strategy and roadmap for the security observability squad.
Become an authority on your product area and identify areas of opportunity through research and data.
Write Product Specifications that outline what will be built as part of the next few iterations of the respective product line they are owning
Define, understand, and improve key funnels and metrics.
Own features and experiments end-to-end, including writing product specs, driving cross-functional execution, making thoughtful product decisions, and sharing insights and results throughout the company.
Design and analyze experiments and make decisions on how to move forward based on the data.
Build context and deep understanding of the reporting domain in the context of Postman
About You:
Experience in owning and delivering API products. Previous experience in API governance, observability, security, or Devsecops is a huge plus.
Proven ability to deeply understand analytics and use insights to develop product changes that significantly move those metrics
Previous experience running A/B experiments to test hypotheses
At least 4+ years of experience in a product management role working with design and engineering counterparts along with cross-functional teams
Data fluency. You deeply understand how your products work, know every step of the funnel. You'll be expected to delve deep into datasets, build dashboards, and design and accurately measure experiments.
Compelling written communication. Your writing is clear and effective.
Nice to Have:
Previous experience in defining and executing a roadmap for a new vertical / area in an organisation.
Previous experience with delivering developer-centric products.
